Car W212 om651 came to my shop due to the knocking sound and found due to the engine slapping 2 pistons are scratched in to the cylinder bore
., Now need to engine work !
I am newbie for engine work ,really no idea how to start this project .If I would approach engine bore shop and expecting lost of question from them that should prepare to my self .
Th real Challenges are Used engine block not available in my area , Engine bore team not much professionals or not much advance machines are available .
The work I assume that the engine for cylinders they will put new sleeves or any alternative solutions, if what would be the sleeve measurement how to install the sleeves . as per the workshop manual the om 651 bore size would be 83 mm (3.27 in) so the sleeves inner measurement should be 83 mm then what will be outer :, engine team would remove the original existing sleeves from engine or just bore and reduce the inner size if how much size .

651 can't be sleeved, the space is not enough and also the cast is from dead metal. This was micrometric treated with some chemistry and beyond that is just sand
