Question Does anyone know the hack to cure transfer case shudder?

Greetings folks -I'm checking in once again to see if I can get the specifics on the “hack” to fix transfer case shutter which appears in the steering wheel on take turns at driveway or parking lot speeds. I know generally what it is but someone actually had posted it somewhere and I cannot find it. This is a general idea of what it is:

with the car on a lift and the back wheels locked with the parking brake, you engage the transmission in drive at idle and get the RPM's to 800 to 1000 (no more than 1000) for a minute. And you do the same in reverse. All the time with the back wheels locked and no more than 1000 RPM's. I don't recall that is the exact procedure but want to verify and make sure I'm not gonna screw something up.

If anybody can provide clarification that would help. I want to try it before I throw money at a new/rebuilt-reman transfer case.
Thanks,
Tommy

I've been following your other thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...eset-hack.html) due to curiosity as well, hopefully someone can figure it out for you.
