Does anyone know the hack to cure transfer case shudder?
with the car on a lift and the back wheels locked with the parking brake, you engage the transmission in drive at idle and get the RPM's to 800 to 1000 (no more than 1000) for a minute. And you do the same in reverse. All the time with the back wheels locked and no more than 1000 RPM's. I don't recall that is the exact procedure but want to verify and make sure I'm not gonna screw something up.
If anybody can provide clarification that would help. I want to try it before I throw money at a new/rebuilt-reman transfer case.
Thanks,
Tommy
