Suspicious marks on new evaporator (normal or defect?)

To start my evaporator replacement project, I have bought a new evaporator from a local dealer shop, but found that some spots (or marks) on the surface of the evaporator. The dealer shop told me that it should be some "welding points" and the evap are good to use.
However, I suspect these are rushing that will easily cause leaking after installation.
Any one have similar experience to share or any advice will be greatly helpful for me.
Thanks.

Evap is made of aluminum as fas as I know, you can test with magnet.

That rusy dirt could be rust tranfer from other steel object.

Aluminum "rust"/corossion or oxidation is whitish ALU Oxide.

Rust transfer to ALU. The plate is alu, the bolt and nut is proabaly 304SS which will rust
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CORROSION AND ALUMINUM

If you can clean them small rusty spots and they look spotless after cleaning, I would say no worry.

This is a used EVAP, it seems to have similar lines like yours, but too bad I can't zoom in too well

.

This used one seems to be clean

.At close up detail, your evap rusty spots do look offensive and could be eating the ALU underneath it

Update:
Having talked again with the shop, the manager showed me that similar spots were also found in other new stock, but they are not so offensive as mine (photo).
To play safe I have emailed the manufacturer to ask for any views about that spots.

Will update further.

Maybe those are TOUCH spots for their welding ground wire ?
I am sure EVAP microchannel mini pipe are welded at the ends and not pushed fit, due to 400 PSI capable pressure handling.

Further update:

The manufacturer reverted - "The spots shown are from production, but they shouldn't be too pronounced, as the corrosion protection is no longer present."

In this case, I have less worries and will just change another new one from the shop so as to start my evap project in this weekend....

Just for sharing....

Sudden change:

Another reply from the manufacturer wrote:
"The evaporator shown has some minor marks, but they're not in good condition. This one also needs to be returned"

In this case, another new stock offered by the shop is not acceptable. Too bad that I need to return the evap and shop again for another brand or source......
