You're familiar with the word backfiring?
That's exactly what happens when plugs don't discharge the coil high voltage spike.
Either widened gaps or higher resistor.
Spark find a shorter discharge path inside the coil... RIP!

We need to aim away from poor conditions.
Reliable parks are the genesis for exact timings.

Crappy spark is like tuning an engine with clogged injectors

Usually something that is too good to be true isn't true plus if it looks too good on paper, it might not be in reality.
