W212 transmission swap
Hey MB world, so I recently swapped the tranny to my 2014 e350 (2nd gen transmission). Now the car doesn’t want to go In drive or reverse. I know I have to swap the old ISM or the Valvebody from the original. My question is do I have to swap both pieces in order for it to work or can I just swap the ISM?

The TCM module Y3/8 need to be coded to match the VIN of the engine computer.
It has to be de-virginize first as far as I can remember and then coded with engine's VIN.
The ISM I forgot if it has to be coded with engine's VIN or not.
Tranny computer is theft relevant part, so you can't simply swap them from other cars.
