Hi, I really need help. I acquired a 2016 E350 RWD with double cross bars grill and ILLUMINATED STAR from a family member. Long story short, I need to replace a front bumper and found a used bumper. However, the last owner has "upgraded" the grill to the "newer" single cross bar and flushed star (NONE ILLUMINATED..... See attached pictures). I want to retain the ILLUMINATE STAR option... Is it even possible? which part (star) to buy? part number? Thank you
It's up to you but 3D logo is an excellent choice to me . The illuminated star logo works ,as I recall, when the car is stationary only . However, it could be coded probably to make it turn on all the time .

The Illuminated star is on all the time, or when the DRL is on (which is all the time!). I need to know which illunimated star part number that will fit into that grill. Thank you
Every time I see one...I know that if I had one...I would turn it off. But, as others have said...of course you can buy the part. From there, it is an electrical thing - TONS of places to connect it to. Just depends on what behavior you want it to have (and link it to that circuit).

The car already came with illuminated star, all the electrical wiring was there and active. The car was involved in an accident. I bought a used bumper, and the last owner "upgraded" the grill to this new style (without the illuminated star). I wan to replace the star with illuminated one. I dont know which one will fit into that grill, model number? part number? Thank you
You could call any dealership in the US with the VIN and ask....
That grill and star was not OEM to that car and that model year!!. That was a aftermarket upgraded, or something similar. Calling dealers not going to help.....
It would be hard for us to know what aftermarket part you had on that car previously. Were you not able to find the same aftermarket grill on eBay or some other website? is there no part number or stamp on that old grill?
if you wanted the actual Mercedes part, you would have to make sure you buy a new Mercedes grill and star and then address the wiring and control as mentioned above.
