Profiling the battery state of charge & Ctek charging profile

This is a spin-off from this thread, sort of : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...200-ancel.html
Due to bedding my brake pads on dyno mode the past 10 days, I needed many short engine run and door being kept open for a very long time.
So I got a chance to see fluctuations of battery state of charge and so on.
.
.
.
337 data points above if I recall , it was me scanning the car using Xentry and I did not use my battery maintainer.
The Ctek charging profile is very visible when logged this way at 1 data points per 2 minutes.
The conclusion is, if you own a Ctek charger, even if you use your car often, it is good to charge it once a week after engine OFF at least 12+ hours , or engine thus battery ....already at ambient temperature.
Even with ALTERNATOR-LIN disconnected , or worse eco style charging mode with alternator LIN still connected, alternator is a DC power generator and not a proper 3 stage smart battery charger.
The last 20% charging a lead acid battery, which is 80% - 100% state of charge, is always the time consuming one. Minimum 4 hours is needed at very slow declining amperage.
Can't do anything about it, it is the battery chemistry natural behaviour.
-------
For me, opening doors often is the extra drain and the extra 38 milliamps my Banks Gauge and XBB Headlight Command module is consuming is another thing I need to consider.
My Banks Gauge now is a dual unit, not single. I have not measure its power consumption during sleep.... for a dual display.
=========
If I see my battery at 12.50V in deep sleep mode, I will charge it.
The beauty of the cheapo Ancel BM200 is its wireless and logging function.
Happy maintaining your battery guys..............
SIDE NOTE ;
I am going to get Ancel BA101 Battery Tester, as a 2nd re-visit owning such device, electronic battery tester.
I have the Konnwei, below ... and its not so good.
Too bad this test below did not include the higher end Midtronics MDX series.
However I am so suprised to see US$300 Midtronics PBT Series jurassic park which turned out to be so dumb

TopDon being anothet dumb azz is also a big suprise.
.
I still only trust my analog load testing, but hopefully the Ancel BA101 Battery Tester will do better than my Konnwei and I can use it as 2nd reference to my analog load testing.
I will not pay US$700 ish for higher end Midtronics, no way in hell.

A lot of us know ALT is the running chassis power source and battery supplies NO power while engine is running engine, right?
How can these chassis sense a difference between battery state of charge: as-is charge vs. CTEK floated up (stable ALT-LIN=14.15VDC) ??
I'm still puzzled by this enigma that's impacting chassis performance. What ever issue is causing this makes ALT-LIN an interesting experimental solution towards stability.
Long story short is the best SOC is CTEK floated-up.

The Ctek amperage profile.
