W212 E350 Coupe FOB blinks but car does not start
My car just stopped starting out of no where. Here are the symptoms.
1) FOB blinks when I press the START button OR put the KEY in the slot ( blinks 3 - 4 times, looks like a sequence )
2) Accessories DO NOT come on
Other details:
3) FOB can lock / unlock the car
4) Looks like FOB is not an issue ( same issue even after replacing the FOB battery )
5) Tried the 2nd FOB ( same issue )
6) Main battery is only 6 months old, measured the voltage, it looks Okay 12.5V
7) No cranking sound is heard, looks like it does not even attempt to start the car
8) Can not roll windows etc..
9) Lights etc.. inside (and may be outside ) do come ON.
Any help is appreciated.

-1- PRIME SUSPECT: Low voltage /drained batteries...
Does the whole dashboard illuminates NORMALLY the "X-Mas tree lights"... or nothing?
You say MAIN battery is less than 1Yr old
- What about its charge level under load:10v?
- Try a nornal overnight charge for sanity check.
No lucky part list to solve this but troubleshooting tests ...
-2- LOGICAL CONDITIONS FAULTS....
Connect your trusted go-to MB Scanner to read chassis faults from distress modules. Any hints from status report?
> How is AUX batt doing?
> Any soaked module such as ISM will fail security.
> It could be as imple as the brake pedal switch (not super common).
> Of course you can test voltage activity with test light at starter solenoid but don't waste too much time suspecting this starter.

Here is what I am getting in the error codes.
I have tried clearing them but they came back again. Needless to say that these are with the car not starting.
Any clues if both the codes are connected and how do I go about them
Regards

Your ESL has now produced its standard failure.
It needs to replaced or perhaps bypassed at your discretion.
Without this working starting is disabled for security.
Code has confirmed it.
The repair is pretty steep. Unfortunately mine got stuck in the steering lock position so it's much harder (and time consuming) to take it out.
~$1500 for a bypass solution in San Jose bay area.

have you searched the eBay dot com for ESL emulators replacement services ?
Based on the youtube videos it had to be drilled out. Basic tricks like tapping with a hammer etc.. did not work.

What ended up solving this issue is disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes for all the control units to reboot, problem went away.

Parts of the same network can end up not communicating well in particular the CAN-B.
Reboots help for a few days.
Refer to your scanner report for clear issues.

I ended up having someone come to my driveway to drill the steering lock out and install a bypass module.
No more startup issues.
I still have the "Central gateway is faulty" code. Will try hard reboot for that and see if it goes away.

I am hoping that they will disappear once i disconnect the battery and do a cold reboot.
Does any know the location of the "Temp sensor 2" it is referring to ?
thanks

The way you're showing fault report does not show what module is reporting these faults. Let's not guess, look at the scanner itself.
