Some issues with the new W213
Hey there guys. Been a while since my last post here. Had different kind of cars in the mean time. But finally found my way back to the Benz.
Just got a brand new E 220 Diesel. Black on black, AMG interior and AMG exterior packages, wide screen, Driver Assistance Package plus and more...
This is where the issue starts. You buy a vehicle for almost 80 grand and it has power seats but only 6 way, so if you need to go forward with your seat you need to do it manually :/
This is how the car was configured u couldn't do anything about it.
I kinda got over it, but what I can not get over is the fact that they left the button in tact next to the seat heater button which when pressed takes control of the passenger seat... I mean it is fully functional,the button that is, only its useless.
Also im having issues with the MB app. I can not get connected and the SOS function is warning me that it is not functioning...
On the positive note.
I'm very happy with the driving characteristic. The engine produces good power and the transmission shifts excellent.
What are your thoughts on these two issues I mentioned?

Fully electric seats with memory are an option. The passanger button shouldn't be entirely useless, you can still operate the seat heater using it (certainly that was how my old w212 was set up).

Was the car ordered to Switzerland, not to Serbia (cannot be LA/USA as it is a diesel)? Does the car come with a Hermes telematics unit or are you supposed to use your phone for connectivity (like on older Euro models). VIN please.

The Car was ordered from Switzerland and delivered to Switzerland.

What does that picture exactly say about the Hermes that you have posted?Does it point to some kind of a problem?Can you please explain.

It is not enough for the dealer to state that MB has had some issues. Those MB issues have not been permanent since you purchased the car, there must be something wrong with your car. The problem could be at MB servers too but still specific to this vehicle and it would unlikely go away without any dealer actions. Perhaps something similar to what US owners have reported, a configuration issue (see other threads at this forum).

Your data card tells that the car is equipped with the Hermes communications module (as konigstiger already explained). You should then be able to place emergency calls and access MB apps without connectivity via a personal phone.

I would opet the MB Me app on my android.
Try to register my vehicle and everything seems fine.
Then when it takes me to the next screen and asks to chose my MB partner who will unlock this feature for me,i do so.He does everything from his side (at least so he says)then by the next step i cant get any further...it always asks me to have my dealer unlock this feature,so that i might be able to use my Phone to park the car etc,unlock it etc...
