I think you're confusing the HOLD feature and the electronic parking brake. Stab the brake pedal while waiting at a stoplight and it will hold the car in place for you until you tap the gas.

Little niceties- gasoline prices
I just noticed that, below each gasoline station logo on the navigation screen, the price per gallon for premium gas at that station is listed. Could this be new or did I overlook it previously?

I just discovered that when you have the ventilated seats on, the blower is kind of loud, which is expected, but if you have had them on for a while, and then come to a complete stop, the fan shuts off so that you dont notice it and comes back up when you speed up. This does not happen if you just switch it on and come to a stop, as the car knows you want full ventilation

Another one, the garage door opener only works if the car is on. On most cars it functions all the time which is a safety issue given that anyone can open your garage door without having the keys to the car. Smart!
Another thing that is progress is, if the car auto stop feature is engaged and you park the car, it will stay off. Previously, the system would restart the car when the transmission was set to park which was idiotic! Now if you dont remember to turn the ignition off it reminds you, if you still ignore it it turns the ignition off itself. More smartness!
I love this car!!! Smart indeed.

^^ True, but along with that, I hate that the car auto puts itself in Park when you open the driver door AND PUT THE PARKING BRAKE ON. Really idiotic since often times, I wash my car and refuse to open my window, and will need to open my door to tap my badge to open my garage at work. My workaround is having to put the car in neutral and coast into the garage, and it will stay in neutral when I open the door. Then push to drive.

On the C class one thing that took me time to learn was that if you turned the ignition off before you unbucked your belt the ebrake had to be activated manually. A real pain since I had to change the car exiting procedure I had used for almost 40 years!!! Now it just activates every time the transmission is in park.

What about the engine noise. I learned yesterday that the E300 US model, has the sound of a V6 piped through the speakers. It is subtle but when you drive one of our cars without it on, you can for sure hear the difference. I know it is "cheating", but I appreciate the visceral driving experience. I also love the seat belt tightens itself when you first put it on.

I dont think I have heard that engine noise is piped through the speakers...is there any documentation about that? Although in sport mode, I feel like engine noise is louder, though Im not sure if its in my head.

Activating the heater through Mercedes Me on a hot day will activate the fan in the car flushing the cabin with fresh air to reduce the interior temperature.
Heater button on the AC Control panel will light up in blue.

Here in the US the ME app is minimal use at best. Unlock/Lock, Start Car, Send maps to Benz
That's it. Living in Arizona desert, it would be nice to vent the vehicle of 120F+ deg heat. But at least 1 out of 4 tries I can remotely start the car to cool it off when I have multiple minutes to access the app and hopefully connect. ;-)

if you voice command "engine data" it will immediately show it on the screen
Funny enough "vehicle data" does not work in the sense that it will take you to the vehicle settings menu,
from where you'll have to choose "vehicle data" yourself.
Question: what is the little "ledge/niche" in the middle arm storage compartment for. (just above the usb
connections) It's seems to be designed to tuck away the cables?
