Best Value in mid-sized luxury
I don't say that to diminish the brand as a fine automobile but rather to point out that there is no prestige in owning one.

So according to you a brand has to be rare and over priced to qualify as a luxury car?
I beg to differ.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
"Luxury vehicle is a marketing term for a vehicle that provides luxury — pleasant or desirable features beyond strict necessity — at increased expense (see luxury goods).
The term suggests a vehicle with higher quality equipment, better performance, more precise construction, comfort, higher design, technologically innovative modern, or features that convey an image, brand, status, or prestige, or any other 'discretionary' feature or combination of them. The term is also broad, highly variable and relative. It is a perceptual, conditional and subjective attribute that may be comprehended differently by different people; "What is a luxury car to some... may be 'ordinary' to others."
I don't know what the rules are for others but that seems to make sense to me.
I'll concede that just maybe I am both, depending on the model.
PS Now that I have had fun annoying everyone on this thread, it's time for me to get off before someone thanks me.

Anyone mind looking up the definition of a "douchebag" or should we all settle for douchebag=pete1997?

As far as being a douche bag, that could be correct.
PS Obviously you are upset by my opinion and it appears you don't like the term "grocery getter". Trust me, the feeling will pass when you driven them for 30 years or so. They actually get pretty ordinary.

Seems like you and "grocery getter" have something in common. You must be really rich too. Lol
Well at least we agree that youre a douche bag.
This is not CR's opinion, but that of the people in the survey.
Just providing this as food for thought.

What defines luxury? Genesis might be a nice car, but it has achieved neither taxi status nor luxury status yet. I'll keep my plain old Mercedes thank you very much.
