COMMAND Touch
Hi everyone,
I was looking through the Command Settings and found an option labeled "command touch" does anyone know what that is or what it does?
I know now that there are some S-Class models that come with a little remote that you can control all the multimedia functions and A/C settings, as well as make calls from. Is this what it is?

There is an iPad app out (curiously not available in the US App Store; I had to download it from the German App Store) that lets you control certain settings and features of the COMAND with an iPad connected to your car's WiFi.

You'll have to sign up with an alternative email address, and I do believe with a German payment method - which is the real obstacle. I have a German checking account still, so I could make it happen

I was able to change my iTunes account region to Germany and download the app. It works in my 2019 E53 Coupé, but I really don’t see the point. It was interesting to try to change the region on my iPad and get the app. I didn’t know you could do that. Now that I’ve done it, I’ll never have a need to use the app again though.

So far I’ve seen no ill effects from changing regions and then changing back to USA. I only own 3 movies and they were all still there.

Just downloaded the Comand Touch app on my android tab, now how do I connect? 
I have been trying for 30 mins and then I gave up. I tried looking for guides online and on YouTube and couldn't find anything except for videos demonstrating features.
Can someone help please.

I downloaded the app from the UK App Store and installed on my iPad. It connected straight away in the car. It is quite useful for some settings - that passenger (front or rear) can do. Stops me being distracted when driving! I like it.

Try it and see
Been using the Comand Touch app quite a lot today and showing my other half how it works. Once used for a while it becomes very intuitive and actually very useful. For example on the music tab you can easily change source and quickly flick through album folders and pick songs, playlists etc.
Changing the interior lighting colour and brightness isn’t much use, but could be on a long journey in the dark. Other options are also limited, but entering Nav details is a breeze and easy for passenger to do whilst I concentrate on my driving.
All in all it is growing in me and I like it.
