Can you get email notification on the display?

Hi there. I seem to only get SMS notifications on the display of my E300 (USA). However, I was looking at the manual today, and saw one image that shows notifications for both SMS and email. (see attached). Is this another feature that's not in the US version? Or am I just missing a setting? Thanks!

I don't recognise the other elements of that screenshot never mind the email notification - is it definitely from a w213?

That's the favorites bit in the whole menu, the very best menu of the entire COMAND system. Press home button, push downwards on wheel or with whichever thing you control main menu with and that's the favourite list. Click to go to the favourite or, I can't remember exactly which now, I think it's push down to bring up the little sub menu you can see in the pic and from there you can add a whole new favourite action, delete or rearrange existing ones. I have shortcuts to navigate home and work, bring up vehicle and engine pages, change display colour, select similar music tracks and mix all.

Never seen the email notifications. Maybe there is a Mercedes in car app to link email to the car. Pointless really as I hate how slow the SMS dictation function is, would drive me insane if I had to do a whole email like that.

Yeah, I just like to know when I get a message. Then I usually check it when I'm not in motion. In LA, that is quite often.

if this is available in the states, it is probably an iPhone problem. I'm guessing this function works on select android models

I wish that were the case. I am on Android (S7 edge).

Given the 50,000 warnings in the manual, I have a feeling someone wrote it out of the software so that people wouldn't read 2 page emails while driving.

Yeah, it kind of sucks. The idea is in the right place, it just doesn't work well. Buggy and slow. Easier just to look at my phone.
