Need help with new order!
We ordered: Selenite Grey/ Natural Grain Black Ashwood with BLK leather seat upgrade, P3 package, projector mirrors, AMG wheels, sport brakes…and I think thats it….we may add a chin spoiler on the trunk.
So my question is, is the leather seat upgrade worth it and does it come with those super comfy headrest pillows? We test drove a P2 and it had those headrests with the extra pillow on it. Is that a seating thing or a premium package thing? We didn't do the upgraded display because she prefers classic analog gauges and doesn't want to strain eyes by constantly looking at a computer screen.
So whats the deal with the seats and is the leather worth it? Thanks!

Another consideration is the seating pattern. The artico has a vertical pattern, while the leather has a horizontal pattern. Going to the luxury nappa, it has the vertical, while the designo has a diamond pattern.
As far as ventilation goes, it's available on all leather types. It's only available in the artico if you go with the luxury package.
In the end I went with artico, I had a w124 with it from back in the day and it still looked new after 12 years. So in the end the decision was sentimental for me. But either way you can't go wrong.
Note: the above is for the US market.
Also, as far as ordering. We sat with the manager and went on the normal US website, selected our options, printed it out and initialed next to each option. He said he would "put in" the order and the car would be here in 6-8weeks. I put $1,000 down after we worked out pricing. He knocked $7500 off sticker and gave us $8500 for the Lexus trade. Not bad I think…. how did I do?

Then he's buying something already built, not a custom order.
His dealer is looking for matching inventory from another dealer.

Those of you that ordered, how long did it take? Thanks!
Depending where OP lives, transit period is about 40 days. It will certainly be tight to get the car in 8 weeks.
Check with your sales agent. If there are orders scheduled at the factory not assigned to a customer, they can be changed up to a certain point. That greatly speeds the time to get delivery.
My experience with delivery to Florida varies upward from 4 weeks depending on ship availability in Germany.

The fact that you don't even know if getting a 2017 or 2018 is not right.
So if you want the Drive Pilot functionality without the widescreen cluster, you have to get the '17.
