Annoying things in the car - can it be corrected?
Hi
New in this forum and down in the flue...
Have looked for if someone has commented the doors but haven't seen anything yet so is it only me then I guess
Changed from 212 and is finding the two positions where the doors should stay open is far to weak. If you park in a slope, either the door will slam shut or slam open into something. If it's windy, be prepared to get the door back on you.
Asked at the dealer and answer was it is what it is...

I noticed this too with my E300. It is annoying I wish all Benzs had the same hinge system the S has where wherever you open the door it stays in that spot. This 2-3 hinge system is crap if you ask me.

They managed to get it correct in the 212 but maybe to many guys stuck in the car :-)
There is a funny side effect where since the back doors are the same and are very smooth people are not closing them hard enough so they bounces on the lock and are not entirely closed and then you have to get out of the car if the passenger doesn't notice.
Will complain anyway when I have it in for first regular service. If there are many complaints they might do something about it.

Such a shame, thanks for clarifying that up. My legs are bruised from the door hitting it. but on the other hand, my legs getting its workouts in from me pushing it out.
