Burmester 3D Rotery tweeters for E Class
So... I've always wanted the look of the 3 D rotery tweeters s on my E Class but didn't want to pay top dollar for the high end Burmester system. I found a website that sells the fully functional tweeters that work exactly the same with the ambient lighting and all. I ordered them and they just arrived. Can't wait to install them this weekend when my car arrives. I'll post updates with pics and instructions once I do.

Hi,here's a video for reference:
It is our C Class Burmester tweeter with 12 color breathing ambient light effect.
E Class sound effect is just like this, but it is not 12 color breathing ambient lights, it is 64 colors, same as original ambient light.

Will speaker fit S213 Station Wagon
Hi I talked to Carphone because I ordered the Station Wagon (S213) and would like to know if the 3D speaker works in the wagon.
They answered.
I am not sure if it is canbus data of W213 is same as S213, not sure if our product is compatible with your car.
My guess is it will work in the station wagon also, because the interior is exactly the same.
But does anybody know or have tried this speaker in the wagon ?

Yes. Sorry I have been to busy to post an update but yes.. I installed them last weekend and they look really good and work like you would expect. I actually think they sound better too.
The hardest part was removing the door panel but once I figured it out, the installation of the tweeters was straight forward and the second door was even quicker to install. I really like them and they enhance the overal appearance of the interior especially at night when the ambient light is on. In my opinion it's worth the investments.
The below link was helpful. It's the exact same procedure for the E
class even though it shows removal of door panel for a C Class.

Very nice looking
Yes they really do make it more complete looking. Very nice. Did you just use the connector used for the old speaker ? Do you have to make room for an extra controller ( for controlling the movement )?

The controller comes with the tweeters. It's a small box you can stick to the inside of the door panel. Kinda hard to explain but once you open it up, you will find plenty of room to place it.

No, you don't need to do all that extra work. You just disconnect the old tweeter and connect the new one to the control box already in the car. There is another small black control box that comes with the tweeters too, that the one you can stick or zip tie inside the door panel. Here are the instruction pics that helped me.

The front of the Rotary tweeters has the Burmester brand on it.
I was not sure about the sound quality when i ordered them.
I think they sound very good to me but i am no expert.
I always have the old ones if it did not work out i would just put them back
no harm done.
