anyone have experience removing dash/door trim?
Ive done both rear doors to see how it looks and if it was worth moving forward. the long dash piece is a bit trickier and I think the only way to do it will be to remove it from the dash.
I can probably do the front doors as well, but thought because of the seat controls, it may be easier to remove them.
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
TIA
What Ive determined is that it seems like a "grip it and rip it" removal process. The only piece that makes it a little harder is that it appears that the instrument cluster needs to be removed first. good news is that there is a video that shows cluster removal.
I will attempt this tomorrow.
Does anyone know if you have to remove the door panels to pull the wood? my dealer wasnt super friendly when i asked for instruction.
anyone?
however, there is the door lock which is an up and over move, AFTER sliding the panel to the rear of the car after popping all the clips. then of course all the connector.
also, should be noted that the tweeter cover does not need to come off to remove the panel.
lastly, it appears as though the trim could be removed without taking off the door panel, but it may not be worth the risk. there are MANY clips holding the trim in place and the door panel is a breeze to remove.
driver door = complete. working on the passenger door now.
still need to figure out the dash!

The passenger side wood trim is also easy to remove, snap off the top dash cover, loosen three T20 torx screws and remove, pull the entire instrument display unit towards you.
Remove the right side dash cover and pull the wood trim outwards.
