2018 E300 Luxury. Ventilated MB-Tex?

Hi all,
i noticed if you build an E300 luxury on MBUSA.com, it will allow you to select heated and ventilated front seats with the luxury (perforated) MB Tex, and doesn’t force you to select a leather option. On the sport model, it will not allow you to select ventilation with the standard (non-perforated) MB Tex.

Is this just a website error, or can you really get ventilated MB Tex seats on a 2018 E300 luxury?

thanks!

i just now tried to get ventilated seats without leather, but it won't le me.
Would ber great to have this option/combination;
I'm not a huge fan of leather, but have it because of the ventilated seats,
(which all in all becomes quite an expensive option this way)

Did you select the luxury option (and associated luxury MB Tex)? Like I stated above, it doesn’t let me do it with the sport option, it absolutely does when the luxury option is selected...

I noticed this too that it allows me to add ventilated and heated seats without having to add leather. I wish the Sport would allow this because ventilated seats in Florida are much needed.

I have a feeling, if this is not a mistake, this is a way to make the luxury line more appealing to people.

I have an '18 with ventilated leather seats. I love them! That said, I would never buy a car without leather seats. Leather breaths, plastic does not.
Even high end MBTex is excessively hot to sit on in the Florida weather. BTDT

BTW I'm in Clearwater enjoying the Winter like 70° to 80° weather.

Small world! I am currently in Orlando for law school, but I lived on Clearwater Beach in undergrad and I am from New Port Richey.

Nope, I wanted to go out of the area for law school and my sister was going to Barry at the time so I decided to come up here and do something different. Safe to say that I like living by the water MUCH better than being land locked.

You could do this online with the 2017 as well, but you could not actually order it that way from a dealer.

I can confirm, NetStar (dealer's ordering system) will not allow you to do MBTex + Ventilated seats.

as a side note - MB's ventilated seats are not cooled seats and just uses a fan to blow the same air within the cabin. its very unnoticeable and i think there are more complaints about it than appreciation. I have it as well and hardly makes a difference in my new C43.

The ventilated seats work well for me in Florida where I wear shorts 100% of the time in my car.

I’m trying to remember my first car with ventilated seats, but all I can remember, is that NONE of the MB ventilated seats worked. You git absolutely NOTHING, whether the switch was on or off. The ones on my various Lexus LS sedans worked great. If you put your hand next to the seat, you could feel the air blowing through the tiny holes. However, this MB problem disappeared when I got the 2919 E450 Wagon. The ventilated seats in that car REALLY work great!
