Oh, I know... My 2015 E350 has spent 10+ months (I've stopped keeping track once we hit 10 months) in the shop due to major problems, ie: engine not starting, transmission not shifting properly, multiple systems going to Inoperative status, AC going to full heat in the middle of summer. Not to mention some of the minor ones, like the radio freezing up, turn signals acting up, and still rattles they can't seem to eradicate. That's 10 actual months' worth of time with the car at the dealership. Even now, there are items on my squawk list even though it's currently (permanently) parked at a storage facility until my new car arrives.

I'm borrowing a 2011 S550, which has been pretty good so far. Other than the lack of Bluetooth Audio (it has Bluetooth Phone), no real complaints, and this is on a 120k mile car, so they do know how to build one that works.

You should give the E400 coupe a try, it is the best car and a true Mercedes. Doors feel solid, car ride feels solid, engine note, power and response makes it sound like what a true benz should be. Have one as a loaner, brand new first person to drive it. It has zero rattles and issues. Perfect Benz Ive driven in a long time. The S-Class line up is the best car Mercedes makes, my 2000 S500 still drives like the first day I bought it and it has 150k on the clock. no major mechanical issues either, just dated.
