I have the E220d T-model in avantagarde with 15mm lowered sport suspensions.
I think it first of all it looks better and rides more firm.
Coming from BMW I still can find it a bit softer but in the long run on Swedish roads that is just good.
I have 18" rims...
That sounds great, Is there a big difference in handling of the car?
Again it all depends what you are looking for, The handling will be slightly less sharp and the ride will be slightly more comfortable the differences are obvious but not big. Im a leadfoot gearhead, thus any loss of handling would be a negative but if you are an average driver it would not be a loss at all. The standard E class suspension is pretty comfortable, not a carpet of clouds but very good, it also handles quite well. I would say the comfort suspension is more similar to the previous E class ride, very, very comfortable, but not really sporty. Even the E43 is not uncomfortable at all, aside from some harshness on really sharp surfaces like railroad tracks or really broken pavement, its otherwise pretty smooth.
