Selenite Grey vs Palladium Silver?
My eyes have not yet seen a Mercedes in the Selenite Grey color. How would you describe Selenite Grey versus Palladium Silver? Lighter or Darker than Palladium, etc.
I have an E-Class in Palladium, and have been searching online for a newer sedan; On my PC monitor, Selenite looks closely similar to Palladium. I prefer not to visit a dealer until I'm ready. Thnx.

Selenite Gray is like the old Steel Gray, with a bit less blue to it. Virtually indistinguishable UNLESS you put the two cars side-by-side, then the Selenite has a hair of a greener hue to it than the blueish hue of Steel Gray. I'm surprised you've not come across it, as it's the most popular color in these parts per my local dealer.

Sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that I thought Palladium was a current color. I don't recall having seen a Selenite Mercedes on the road and wondered how it compares to the older Palladium color. Thnx.

I knew I saw something about this before. Here's a comparison of the various Mercedes silvers/greys:

Gray and silver
I've owned 5 Mercedes (all SLKs) that were Iridium Silver. My 2017 E class is Diamond Silver, which has more blue in it. I got it to be different than my other cars (OK, not radically different). Anyway, I like it more than I expected to. I think it looks great on the E class. Another color to consider. Like Iridium, it doesn't show dirt.

The selenite grey does not show dirt. I've had my car 3 months and it still looks as clean as the day I got it. With Meguiar's polymer protectant, nothing sticks to the finish and it doesn't water spot.

When I was getting my E300 I was between white and selenite gray. The selenite gray is metallic so it sparkles when the sun hit it and looks incredible, but when the sun isn't shining on it, it looks bland. It is a lighter color than the Space Gray (if you remember that color) and it has a green tint to it, where as the Space Gray had a blue tint.
I ultimately went with white because in my opinion it looks the same all the time. The selenite gray does look incredible when the sun hits it, but when it doesn't it just blends in.

Totally agree! I haven't washed my car for over 4 months (but I clean the interior regularly though ), and the exterior still looks quite clean. Under sunlight the color looks a little different depending on how bright the day is; sometimes it looks lighter, sometimes there's a bit of blue, even a little bit of dark olive green! Overall, very cool color in my opinion.
