Air fragrance ionizer?
Can you get an empty Mercedes vial and put your own cologne in there? Or it’s a special formula and you have to buy the Mercedes made ones?

I would be concerned that the solvents in your cologne would not be compatible with either the tubing or equipment used for the ionization process. And since these could vary so much across consumer products, I'd doubt Mercedes will ever give it an official OK. Don't know that for a fact though.

You can order an empt vial. I have my own cologne in mine. Works like a charm. The company selling those spin out Burmester tweeters is also selling a similar system as a retrofit but don’t quote me on it.

I recall reading a caution about what product you refill with. Alcohol vs. oil based scents and how they interact with the equipment and delivery system. Sorry, don't remember where.
Keep us posted please. BTW, has anyone tried a scent other than the default Fireside Mood. Thoughts?

FWIW, the fragrance ionizer thing came with my 2018 E400 Coupe. Given the choice, I wouldn't pay 10¢ for it. It's just plain silly IMHO, doesn't really do much (a good thing, I suppose), and too many people are bothered by perfumes and sprays of any sort. Bah, humbug!

Yup...but a little expensive for an empty if you ask me.

I used my original that came with my car the refil with my favorite Glade plunge in fragrance and it has lasted 6 months. Obviously I don’t use it everyday because if the blower in the Air vent is off the fragrance doesn’t come on
