That's a very clean spec, sackboydad. Congrats on that ride, definitely a good one.

First surprise that I notice. The steering wheel has black trim, rather than silver as shown in DOG guides. I wonder if ALL the wheels will be liked this? Congrats Sackboydad!

it’s the night package. Makes the mirrors, shift paddles and wheel trim black

I ordered my 2019 E-4matic Luxury in May around the middle of the month with all the options I wanted except for the oversized
speedo and tach as well as without the front window speed and nav as they couldn’t give me a delivery date and it wasn’t that important to me. In any case it arrived at the dealer the first week in September and I took delivery on 09/06 and everything worked, no gremlins to fix, everything worked fine. I ordered mine with the Acoustic package for $1100 and if you’re going to order an E sedan, save yourself $1100 as this package isn’t worth the money. I traded in a 2018
E300-4matic without it and I can’t tell the difference. The only reason I traded a 2018 for a 2019 was because I couldn’t find a 2018 with the options I wanted, ie;
1). Premium Pkg. 1
2). Luxury Styling
3. Warmth & Comfort Pkg.
4. Distronic Package
5. Multicontour Front Seats
6. Power Rear window sun shade
7. Burn ester Sound System
8. Soft close doors (Another waste of money as the doors close themselves) with no effort

Lastly, don’t waste your money on the parking system, it only works about 40% of the time and it takes a long time to park the car, save your money. I’ve been driving MB’s for 25 years and while this car is good it isn’t Great! If I didn’t mind waiting 6 or 8 months I would have bought an Audi A6, it’s a better car for less money with a standard v-6 engine.

You do realize that the A6 comes with a 4-cylinder and will again once the rollout for the new A6 is done. Why do you think the A6 is better?

Parking Pilot in the E-Class is one of the most capable & functioning parking assist systems on the market today. When someone feels it "only works 40% of the time" what they're saying is "I only know how to use 40% of it"

User error shouldn't be conveyed as faulty tech.

Funny as I think the doors are hard to close and a lot of my passengers are accustomed to soft//auto closing doors so I wish I had that option.

We considered the A6 slightly and 540i and after having the 540i as a rental car while our ‘08 528i was with the dealership, we decided against it since the interior quality felt very mediocre compared to the 2008 model lol (it just felt very plasticky and cheap to me) on top of that the car was even longer than our X5 and 528i and the current E Class but you couldn’t really tell that from the amount of legroom it had compared to the other 3 (felt tighter than all 3). The A6 would’ve been worth looking into if we needed a car later but we didn’t want to take the risk on the first year models for the new A6 since we will be getting rid of both the X5 and the 528i soon since the lease is up in 20 days on the X5 and the 528i’s repairs cost more than what it’s currently worth. Even then the new A6 is around $5,000 more expensive for the technik trim than the E450 is in Canada.

We ordered our E450 Sedan on April 5. It has been in Baltimore since July. I learned today that it will be at the dealer, if all goes well, tomorrow. The dealer is 1 1/2 hour away so delivery is scheduled for 9/27 in the afternoon. Really looking forward to it.

MB w213 facelift

Hello guys,

I’m looking to order Mercedes-Benz E350 2019 this November and will probably arrive in February, However, am really confused because I don’t want my first Mercedes to get facelifted in less than a year from my purchase. The salesman told me that he is sure it won’t because they have already made some changes to the engine and the steering wheel. When i looked to the E class cycle the facelifts are every 3 years or so which is due to 2020. Should I wait or buy it?

Sorry if this was the wrong thread!

Originally for 2019 there was going to be an E350, 4 cylinder with 48 volt lithium battery and the E450 was to be a straight 6 plus 48 volt lithium battery instead of the present V6. Those models were delayed a year and will be 2020 models.

Sorry, cannot help as to whether there will be changes to front, side and rear of car.

You'll have to go with the E300 (unless it’s E350e) since the E350 wasn’t made for the 2019 model year. To some it’s underpowered while others think it’s fine. The interior was changed recently so I’m guessing it won’t be changed for the 2020 MY. Unfortunately we won’t know for a while though on what changes will actually occur for the 2020 model year but one would assume the 2020’s will no longer have comand but MBUX instead unless they decide not to. We would’ve gone with 2020 instead due to MBUX but then again it’s not even confirmed that it would be available for the 2020’s and because we needed a new car soon and didn’t want to wait another year since we were gonna end up going with a 2018 E300 but decided against it

Just read write up of the Mercedes A sedan in Motor Trend. The new A sedan has the MBUX instead of command system so I assume the 2020 E will also have the MBUX system.

I can't see Mercedes not giving the E/CLS MBUX at facelift time, but that likely won't be for the 2020 model year. The facelift going by Mercedes' usual 5th model year in practice, will be the 2021 model. They could do it early because of the competition, so anything could happen, but history says 2021 model year. Also the year of a new S-Class.

Just out of curiosity, how long does it usually take once the car arrives at the VPC to when it’s delivered? I think it’s been a week since it arrived in Halifax so I’m guessing I should receive it pretty soon (maybe a week or two?) since there’s no big government regulation hurdles anymore.
