Woo Hoo for you!! The blasted boat with my car, is now off the Carolina coast. By my calculation, it should have no difficulty making it to Brunswick, by tomorrow. But according to the Port's website, she won't be docking now until Thursday, the 25th. I'm not sure why, but maybe it will just sit out in the Atlantic waiting until the Port has a berth for her to unload? Either way, my hopes of picking up my car this weekend are completely and utterly dashed. Whether she'll make it through the VPC recreation center for a delivery before November 1st is just unknown at this point. What I do know is it will get here when it gets here and not a moment sooner.

At least you get to drive a MB in the meantime!

Here's where the ship is at this moment:
Yesterday at this time it was just leaving the NY/NJ metro area, so it's making good time.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Well found one in stock to my liking and worked a deal today, thanks for the help guys. It's designo white with the nut brown leather, nice combo. worried too much about the white seats so decided on the brown. It's got the distronic and the extra digital screen on the dash, the two main options I wanted. Premium 1 also. Most instock cars do not have the multi contour seat so hopefully I won't miss that too much. To get that it almost seems like you need to order the car for 2019. The other option I liked that seems near impossible to get with the 2019 is the Air Balance package, there again probably special order type deal. I like having that in my amg, t's fun to go with different fragrances at times depending on the mood. I wanted the 18 inch wheels but gonna have to settle for the 19 inch rims, oh well, it'll be smoother than my amg for sure as it's the luxury package. I'll post pictures on here when I get it. I know, this post is worthless without pictures.

YAY!! My ship the Noble Ace is crawling towards Brunswick, GA. There's really no reason it couldn't have docked this morning. For some reason, they slowed her down and she won't likely dock until tonight or tomorrow morning. Brunswick, by car/truck is only about 5 hours from here, so once my car goes through the VPC Spa center, and is assigned a truck, the drive here isn't very long. I'll look forward to hearing about your car delivery very soon now!!

Keep in mind that the truck may be making several stops on the way to Tampa depending on its load. My car took 3 days to arrive once it was assigned to a truck. That said, your dealer can send its own truck to pick up one or two cars.

B8
My E53 AMG Cabriolet is B8! But still in Germany.
How long does it take to get to the dealer once its produced? Still, I will need to wait until the model is released to American market. Once released I should be the first in Arizona for sure driving an E53 AMG, maybe the first in America being mine will be sitting there waiting for the release date.
Someone once posted the list of codes and what they mean, maybe it was RBYLAW or SackBoyDad? Can you please post that again? Thank you.

As to how long it takes to get to the dealer, here's where I am at this point, which should give you an idea:
Car went B8 status (ship assigned) on or about October 5th. It left Bremerhaven on October 10th, where it started its luxury cruise to the US. It stopped off in NY/NJ for a day, then left there headed for Brunswick, GA. It's supposed to unload tomorrow, the 25th in GA. For my car to land on US soil, that's 15 days. I don't know which port your car will be shipped to in the US? Once unloaded it has to spend time at the VPC Spa and Resort being checked over, etc., before being assigned to a carrier to be trucked to your dealer. That can be a couple days to a week if any damage needs to be fixed before being sent to the dealer. Your car should be marked P1, which is a priority designation and should be taken through the VPC Spa and Resort ahead of cars for dealer inventories. Bottom line is you're just a few weeks away from seeing your car.
Ps: Once on the water, you can track the ship for free until it's out in the Celtic Sea, on it's way into the Atlantic Ocean. If you want to buy a Satellite access, you can track it all the way, but I just chose to wait until it showed up again, which took about 10 days once it went off the radar.

Good stuff! Is your dealer relaying delivery status to you with each code change, or are you somehow tracking the MB order-to-delivery codes yourself? Also, if you know: Are Germany-built West Coast cars trucked cross-country from Baltimore, or shipped through the Panama Canal to the Daimler VPC in Long Beach?
Germany built West Coast cars are shipped through the Panama Canal, so the Luxury Cruise portion of a CA based car will be much longer than a dealership on the East Coast.

We mere mortals can't track NetStar for code changes, so I rely on my sales guy to relay changes to me. He know's I redefine OCD, so he checks daily and either texts or calls when a status change happens.

Now, if there was only a way to follow the truck carrier as it comes on the final lag to my dealership! Am I obsessed much?

Welcome to my world! Enjoy your stay and don't slip or fall while in our facilities! The Sales Manager at my dealership is putting a call into the VPC to see if my car can be moved through the process faster. Doubt that will get any faster movement, but I appreciate his offer to try.

Seems like no matter how you do it with Mercedes whether it be an order or a in stock car it痴 a nightmare dealing with them. I was buying a wagon that was in stock that the dealer I知 using was getting from another dealer. 3 days has gone by now and they are not returning calls as far as wether they are even able to get the car I wanted from the other dealer. I知 beyond the point of really caring at this point. I値l fight them to get back my 500 dollar deposit and I知 thinking at this point anything to do with dealing with a Mercedes dealer is just dealing with arrogance. I stopped at a Audi dealer yesterday and night and day difference. They build a nice car too. For starters the sound systems are much better. These Burmeisters are horrible sounding. Even the old HK units were much better. I知 really thinking about an Audi allroad prestige at this point.
