2022 GLE 450 (Black on Black)
Just to say how MB's dealerships work their leases: About 3 weeks ago my local dealer offered me a $72K E450 coupe for about $4,000 (incl. cap reduction) at $1,088 for 3 years and 36K miles This past week, the same dealership offered: $78.7K E450 coupe (inbound) at $998 with $3,500 down. Go figure. So don't worry so much about missing the Loyalty incentive program. Just keep praying that your car (RBRYLAW) will come in good shape. Because lately, some of the MB's that I have seen on the lot, leave a lot to desire in terms of quality.

The ship with my car finally showed where it is currently. It is apparently heading into a port in NJ. I don't know if it has any stops after that before it heads to Brunswick, GA. The 24th is still the best I can tell for that.

Thanks Haibieb. It's actually moored in NY this morning. And I have no other choice but to hang in there! There is light at the end of the tunnel and it will be here soon.

LOL.........Anticipation is often the most fun part of getting a new car! And I will get a grip, when I can finally wrap my grubby fingers around that Napa Leather steering wheel!

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
After going back and forth between SUV (GLE) and sedan (E Class), I made the decision to order a 2019 E450 Today. I test drove the E400, which has tremendous power, so I can only imagine what the 450 will feel like, but I'm betting it will be great.
For 2019, Mercedes has simplified the option packages. Here's what I ordered:
E450 4Matic in Lunar Blue
Nut Bronw/Black Leather w/Natural Grain Brown Ash Trim
Driver Assistance Package
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package (there is only one now as opposed to three)
Exterior Lighting w/Intelligent LED
AMG Line Exterior
18" AMG Wheels (I wanted the 19", but they strongly recommended I go with 18")
Heated and Ventilated Front Seats
Panoramic Roof
12.3" Digital Instrument Cluster
All this greatness comes in at MSRP = $72,580
Now the wait begins. I doubt I'll see the car before October at the earliest. But I'm pretty stoked at the moment!

I’m ordering a e450 Wagen. Can I expect at least 10 percent off sticker anyone? I’m in Florida. Costco maybe? I’m thinking luxury black with nut brown int burl wood and wood steering wheel and Distronic and Nappa leather ventilated seats. I figure a 80k msrp so I hope 72 k after discount. I’m figuring a mid nov production date and delivery early January.

You can get 10% off. The Mid-November build date might be a tad aggressive though, unless your dealer has a guaranteed build slot they can move your configuration into. My E450 was ordered in NetStar on July 23rd. My build date wasn't until the first decade in September. And there were no holdups on my build from the time of ordering till it was built. My built car left Germany on October 10th and will arrive at the VPC on Wednesday. How long it will spend at the VPC spa is anyone's guess.

thanks for the quick response. Yes the dealer has a slot. Congrats on your order. Hopefully come in soon for you. I’ve really debated between lunar blue and black. I think I’ll go with black. I want that classic mb look star hood ornament and all lol. I have a 2018 amg wagon so I want something that looks a little different. Plus something that is smoother for New England roads I’m up there quite a bit. The amg does not like bumps. Hopefully my dealer in Florida will agree to the ten percent off on the order without too much protest.

A very unappealing color combination
I am new to the forum and am planning to also order a 2019 E450. I was wondering what the forum thought about the designo Macchiato Beige/Saddle Brown combination. I really like the beige but can't tell how the brown will play off of a Selenite Grey or Lunar Blue metallic exterior versus the Macchiato Beige/Espressor Brown Nappa interior I also wanted to know what you all thought of the Driver Assist Package and how intrusive it might be to a control freak driver like myself. I don't want to pay the money for the package just to manually turn off a lot of its features. I thought I would ask the group. This is my first post to the forum and yes, I am coming from a Ford Fusion hybrid, so we are talking about a big, big change in driving experience for me. My last question is: based on previous models, what sort of discount off of MSRP I might expect when considering a final price for the order? I apologize if some of these questions are naive but I thought I would ask all the same. Thanks in advance
that most folks expect. Stick with all black or gray and black. Too each his own.

I have a Selenite Grey with the non-design Macchiato Beige/Black interior. It really looks good. The beige is so light it looks more white than beige. There are no brown tones. Avoid the saddle brown because it looks bad with the grey. In Florida the light interiors work very well.

I’d love to go with beige but I wear jeans a lot and before I knew it that int would probably have a bluish haze to it. I’m thinking either a blue or black ext and the brown Nappa leather with burl wood.
About the dostronic I have it on my 2018 amg wagon and it is great. Just completed a drive from New England to gulf coast Florida and it really helped take a lot of the stress out of the long drive.
Now if only the salesman from the benz dealer would get back to back to me about ordering this car I’d be all set. I was talking with him this morning about the ten percent off. Maybe he moved on to more easy prey. When I think about the billions of dollars is lost in our economy because of so called professionals not getting back to people it makes me cringe.

Just go with your instinct as to the interior and exterior colors. I have had the Saddle Brown Leather interior on my last two cars (CLS Black Exterior and E Cabriolet -White exterior) and have loved both combinations.

You will most certainly get the blue haze if you have beige seats. I have beige seats and wear jeans daily. You'd either have to clean your seats weekly or just place a towel over the seat to protect it. That said, beige seats are beautiful.

I've had white or light beige leather seats in all my vehicles and I've never had the color transfer issue with blue denim shorts which I wear 11 months of the year. Perhaps my wife has a secret laundry formula. I clean the seats every three or four months with mild soap.
