you just select which one you want and then let the car park itself.
( then after it has struggled to park properly, you take back the wheel and do it yourself….)

as soon as you activate the search radar it will show you the parking spots available (parallel or regular).

I'm in Florida and the car parking by itself is often much faster that of many of the parking challenged people here. That said, we have almost no parallel parking except in city centers which I avoid.

does this work on tight parking spots? like having a wall on one of the sides and another car on the other side?

I have found this feature 100% useless. Really just a party trick. Rarely identifies a parking spot -- even when plenty are clearly available. And when it does it takes forever to park in it. Also note that this is DIFFERENT than the self-parking feature available outside the U.S. where you can park the car when you are outside of it.

but outside or inside, the car parks in the same ****ty way. ;-)
and the only way to "remote park" it into a TIGHT spot is to park it right in front of the spot where you want to park, get out and move the car in a straight line for/back-wards.
(handy if you don't have a very wide garage box I guess...)

Great... So I've just wasted some money on a useless feature
How can a top brand like MB not have a parking solution that works flawless?? I mean, even entry level brands and models are now shipping auto parking features. Unbelievable...
I selected the parking and remote parking optionals just because it is common where i usually travel to find parking spaces where the car will fit if i am out of the vehicle (otherwise it will be a pain in the a** to get out of the car and later enter again).

yes i'm outside of the U.S. hope you're right. from the comments here about the "regular" parking feature it does not bode well for the remote parking
