Acoustic Comfort package

To me, there's something harmonious about driving at 70-80mph in an S class with it registering 65db on 19" RFTs while the Lexus LS500 comes in at near 69db (as does every other single car I've driven). I am eagerly awaiting the 2019 A8 to land to see if it can even come close, and if not, I'll order the MY19 S class with a "subject to", the MY20 E class not being able to be ordered with the ACP at time of delivery.
I'm secretly someone 40 years old older inside than what my passport says

"The option for the Acousitc Comfort Package is not currently available in Canada. We are actively looking into offering it for the next model year, however no final decision has yet been made."
^MB Canada is referencing the MY20 E class.
FINGERS CROSSED! Well darn, now what do I do? Buy the S, or wait for the E?
Frigging decisions!!! (The E is a much better car on ALL fronts for my needs, but I'd have to wait another year and "hope")...
Sigh
however, on Mercedes Benz Canada website, the option not there!

BTW, on the wagon for 2020, at least, there is now only 1 area specified as not infra-red resistant: to the passenger's side of the mirror (for your radar detector or car wash RFID tag). The low center area has apparently been removed. I've also checked the front and rear side windows, and all have a sound-absorbing membrane between two pieces of glass. I've been told they also transmit less heat, but haven't been able to confirm that yet.

The sticker on my 2020 E450 Wagon states:
DC2 Acoustic Comfort Package (SPC): Increased Cabin Insulation, Windshield and Side Windows with Acoustic an Heat Absorbing Membrane $1,100.00
SPC Special Order $250.00
I've checked the side windows, and there are two panes of glass with a rather thick flexible membrane between them, which you can feel with your fingernail. I'm extremely happy with the level of quietness this provdes.
"The Acoustic Comfort Package is available for U.S. customers on both the sedan and wagon models. A special acoustic film in the windscreen and side windows ensures low levels of background noise in the vehicle interior. The Acoustic Comfort Package contains further sound-insulating measures such as additional insulation in the rear footwell and on the center tunnel. To provide excellent heat insulation in the interior, the windscreen, side windows and rear windows are made of laminated safety glass with another layer of film that absorbs infrared. Surfaces in the interior like the armrests, steering wheel and seats get less hot from solar radiation as a result."

Watched a TV program last night, and they rescued a person from a wrecked car by using that tool to punch/disintegrate the drivers side window; that won't work with laminated glass. They'd have to punch a hole, make it bigger and pull/break out all the remaining window. I wonder if that should be a concern?
