Wood Centre Console
The part number I have. It was the link to the German Benz website to order that was was looking for. Thanks. I may be able to find it otherwise.
The German MB website is at mercedes-benz.de. I hope you are fluent in German.

[/QUOTE]When I opened it in Chrome, Google offered to translate for me. I used to be fluent in German but haven't used it regularly in 30 years. So....not fluent in German any more for sure.

This is probably not a problem in the northern latitudes (Germany and Europe), but I live in a southern climate (Dallas area), and the car spent its first two years in the Miami area. Both are much closer to the Equator, where the sun angle is higher in summer, allowing the UV rays to bleach the wood for longer periods each day, especially if parked outside at work.
The more upright windshield/forward roofline in your (Tampa-based) GLC probably helped limit sun entry. But the sedan naturally has a more raked angle windshield, permitting more sun through the glass. The lack of windshield header tinting doesn't help, either. There is heavy window tinting throughout the rest of my car since new, and the OEM wood matching the dash in the doors looks perfectly new. It's just the dash and first 3-4 inches of each front door that gets tattooed by the sun.
I love the wood, really. But I've adopted an extreme strategy to shade the dash replacement wood anytime it's parked outside the garage. See the thread in which I posted (previous post) for info. Thankfully, this is how it looks now.

Thanks, I'll ask a German-speaking friend to attempt the order for me. The piano black center console is so annoying to me, with everything else in the vehicle fitted with the beautiful walnut. I'll be certain to post and update as to how thing turn out. Details at 11.
Also, the mbpartscenter website doesn't list colors. Anybody know the part number for open pore walnut?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
So 185 Euros is about $214. Half the price of what the US parts providers are charging at 30% off their MSRP. Even with shipping and import tariffs, still way cheaper. Can almost guarantee US providers will charge double what the Germans will charge for shipping (I buy a fair amount of ski gear from Europe because it is waaay cheaper).
