Too bright ambient light after software update
Hello,
I have the 213 model year 2017.
Does anyone see a difference in the brightness of the ambient light inside the car after the latest Comand SW Update? After my newly SW Update I have to turn the brightness down to “1” and the ambient light is still too bright.
After the Comand SW Update I also got a problem with the navi sound would not turn down the radio sound. Then I found the hidden menu (Dealer Menu) and set the separation sound to another value. The value was the normal value, but it turned only the sound one the radio a little bit Down. Now this is working as it did before (the MB service teknichian did not know about the dealer menu). I can not find anything anbout the brightness of the ambient light.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah what is the version number of the latest update and how did you get it? I always thought at the highest setting for the ambient lighting was too dim and I addressed this issue to Mercedes a few times but with no results.

I do not know, but I have a warranty on the car and had talked a lot about the fact that it was annoying that some of the main icons in Comand (12.3 ") were hidden by the steering wheel. Therefore, a message from my local MB dealer for me that there has now been an update of Comand with many of the things directed as I had said

I have found that if I choose a color other than the blue, I have to set to a higher brightness. It is as if the blue color is very powerful.

To find the software number, did you go Into the dealer menu and click “software information”? If so, I think mine is very outdated because mine is 00.61.00.20 (if I’m finding it correctly)

MBWorld Fanatic!
The procedure for the ASSYST menu does not work anymore. Software updates?
The procedure (hold dial button down for 10 seconds) for the Dealer menu works from the home menu.
Thanks for the link to the post.

I actually like the brightness of the ambient light in the car. It definitely causes other drivers to peep over and look at the stop light at night, not to mention it adds a great look to the interior of the car.
