CPO E 300 vs new C300?
I'm on the fence wether to purchase a CPO current MY E300 or a new C300. I have looked at CPO's and what I'm looking for is about $54,000. Around 10,000 miles, P2 etc. A new build C300 would cost me about the same, equiped the way I want it. Any suggestions?

I have only driven the E300 once and liked the size. One of the things I didn't like about my C was I couldn't put golf clubs in without lowering the back seat, doesn't appear to be a issue now. But I really like both cars

If you have any interest in coming to Tampa, Florida, I'm going to be trading in my 2018 E300 with 1,000 miles, with AMG Styling, 19" Wheels, Intelligent Lighting, Q2 Package (which is P2 w/o digital cluster as the digital cluster was virtually impossible to get), Panoramic Roof, MB Puddle Lights in the Door, the Trunk Bin, Nano Tinted Windows and Ceramic Coating for less than you're looking at for a CPO. It's White with Black Ash Natural Wood (center console included) and Black MB Tex.
PM me if you're interested. My MB Dealer will handle the sale. This would need to be handled before the 27th as that's when my new car should be in and ready for delivery.

The C300 is a car that I do not believe warrants the MB brand anymore. I own a W204 and am looking at a W213 and W222.
TO me, a E300 is a no brainer. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but a W205, to me, is not befitting of the MB brand, but that shouldn't shock anyone as I believe a bunch of these new MB cars these days are a joke (CLA/B) etc.

Agree we are all entitled to our views. But i feel i want to support the w205 too (i had the estate) that felt like an mb actually more than the w203 and 204 in my view.
yes the e is a step up but it is much bigger and i suspect that has an influence on the luxury feel.
coming from europe where front wheel drive is the norm ( i think most american cars a rwd forgive me if i am wrong) and engines are all small capacity 4 cylinders the a and b still offer more of a well engineered luxury feel than the majority of other makes available. Living in france the majority of cars sharing the roads are citroen and renault cars and all mercedes compare favourably....and against the cheap brand of dacia (30 yr old renault technology) they are positively luxurious.
large engined large bodied "gas guzzlers" which by sheer size in every department give a comfortable powerful ride just do not exist here. The us and eu markets are like apple and pears.

I think the 205 is a great car. As time goes on and I look for a smaller car, I imagine its successor will be in contention for purchase. I once read on these forums that the E is closer to the C than it is to the S. I don't know if I agree, but for those who look fondly on the E and down their nose (their opinion is perfectly valid) at the C, just know that the S class is purposely positioned in a class of its own. All that said I received two compliments on my E last night at a party. Just added to my enjoyment of the night.

A base E, I would agree, is closer to a C than a S.
But if I max out the E, and add the ACP and the ABC, then it's closer to an S.
I've lost count of the number of E classes I've driven, but let's just say I think it's safe to say that the range that one can buy with an E is pretty wide, and you can get pretty close to the S, especially given the large dual screens that you can get on the E, that you can't get on the C.

That said the ABC for the E class, even when compared with the Lux model steel springs, is a worlds apart of difference.
