“Something went wrong” error
As you can see, it says the message was sent from my phone. But, on my Watch and iPhone, it’s coming from the Mercedes Me app (which has been working perfectly).
Unfortunately, I’m not able to see one single change that could be the issue. However THREE things happened at almost the same time....
1. A CPU in my MY19 E450 Cab was “reprogrammed “ to solve an electrical fault light (red battery signal). Car went into the MB dealer shop last Friday and I got it back Monday evening. I do not recall any errors when I drove on monday
2. Tuesday, Apple released iOS 12.1. However I have been running developer betas of 12.1 for over a month with no issues whatsoever. Not impossible that something crept from the last beta to the release, but it’s unlikely.
3. Mercedes Me sent me an email saying they added a new “Speed alert” feature that can be accessed via the app. Of course I turned it on :-)
I have tried turning off the speed alert feature. Still errors. I’ve tried unpairing the phone and repairing it to the car. Still errors. In fact, if I connect via cable for CarPlay (even before starting the car), I still get the error.
Anyone having issues like this recently?
What version of iOS are you running?
ill try some other tests today....
1. Unpair the phone but use CarPlay
2. Delete Mercedes Me Connect from my phone
3. Try another phone from one of my kids that I’m sure they haven’t upgraded yet
4. Install iOS 12.1.1 Beta 1

I took delivery on Monday Oct 29, and on Oct 30 had MercedesMe Connect fully set-up and running.
I have iPhone XS, and am currently running iOS 12.1; was on iOS 12.0.1 at the time of original MercedesMe Connect set-up.
What I did this morning, though, was to access the MercedesMe Connect app on my phone. Then, I got a message that the terms/conditions have been updated and I had to re-opt in.
Then I pressed the remote start button. Then, the app gave me a message that I had to log in and then set a PIN (PIN was already set).
I logged in, but instead being prompted to set a PIN, I was just prompted to enter my PIN. After that, I had access to the app, and I again pressed the remote start button.
After a couple of seconds, I got a meaningless error message that I don't remember...and the app was showing that the car engine was off.
So I pressed the remote start button again, and then got an error message that the function was not successful because the car was already running.
I verified that the engine was indeed running despite that the app said that the engine was off.
After a few minutes, went out to my car and of course the engine shut off when I touched the door handle....then I got a notification on my phone that the engine was shut off, and also an email. Then, I got the first "Something went wrong" notification on my phone.
After I restarted my car from the inside, after COMAND was initialized I got the pop-up on my car screen to select from a driver profile, and THEN I got the now infamous "something went wrong" message on the car screen. And I got it again when I started the car again, and another notification on my phone.
So I have the curse now too, and I am sure it's something wrong with the app.

I also just noticed when I went to my App Store, that the MercedesMe Connect (USA) app auto-updated on my phone to version 2.11.0 yesterday (Wednesday)...and after that update, the first time I use it, I start getting this error.
Pretty sure this app will get another update soon.
This bug is annoying but seems harmless.
I went to the web version of Mercedes Me. There I had to opt in for speed alerts and home control. After I didn’t see any errors online,I logged out of MMe on my phone app then I logged back in. I then started the car and no error.
So my 2 cents... it’s nit the app, it’s something the app is trying to ping in the server but until you go to the main MMe site and allow the new features to be used in the app, it hits a dead-end and barfs.
