You cannot stream YouTube videos. You can download them from YouTube on your PC and the load the videos onto a USB or memory card. And you will then only be allowed to watch the video with your gear in Park. However the audio will play while the car is in Drive. A way to watch videos YouTube or any other while the car is in Drive you need a Video In Motion mod to be installed. Here is a detailed process if you would be interested.

I think it's mainly the legality of the whole thing, besides that if you were riding along the highway with a video playing on your widescreen at night and a cop saw that I think it's a 500 dollar ticket, not to mention the higher risk of a accident by not paying attention to the road.
It’s 2019 and for the life of me I cannot understand why MB does not put video in motion in their cars. And to think most people cannot even drive and text.
I believe in most states it's illegal to play video devices in front of the driver unless it's for a disability. That's probably what hinders it. Years ago I had a hard time getting reimbursed for an in dash TV that was stolen and ran into the legal issue.
I use YouTube for potcast, not really watching movies. Just don't want to touch the phone during driving.
Do you have android auto or apple? Either one has a great podcast app that will work for you to listen to podcasts. Candidly, I bought Pocket Casts' app for $3 because I thought it even better.

Whoa, baby! All you had to do would be to mess up one of those cables, and you'd be in deep s**t. I'm sure if you had an Indy install it, they'd use all those towels too...not...!!
Not worth it IMO to screw up your system or warranty.

when i try to play any video on youtube on widescreen , in parking mode , it shows " your browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats available" . how can update my browser or what can i do to watch some videos on youtube?
If I'm sitting waiting in my car for someone I'll just watch video on my iPhone plus and twist it sideways and lean it up against the 12.1 inch screen. I have my cable tv on my phone which comes in handy like at airports and that kind of thing. I wish there were a simple way to transfer it onto my 12.1 inch car screen but as discussed in the above thread apparently there is not, apple car play does all it can to keep people from streaming videos as does the phone unless the phone is hacked or something but that is not a good idea either. On my 2012 AMG I use to keep some DVD's in the glove box to watch, but even thats not an option without the disc drive on the newer cars.
Put those DVDs on a USB stick or an SD in mp4 format for viewing in the car. I have about a dozen movies in my car. A typical movie takes about 1-2 GB.

I bought an inexpensive USB-DVD drive for just that purpose. IIRC it cost about $15.
I tried to put on usb some videos but is my audio20 is nor reading videos. I have only sound. And car is in parking . I didnt try with sd , but in sd slot i have navigation card. Now i cant watch videos from youtube. My dealer told me i have mirror link and android car but nothing is working. I just want to complain him to make some software updates or aomething , but honestly im not sure what to ask
