What i had to buy
NEW screen(because if you would buy an used screen, you would face the 'dashes' issue: your mileage wouldn't be displayed. There is a workaround, but its costly)*dealer price 2700 euro, I got mine for 1300 euro.
NTG 5.5 Head unit( High Command) Dealer*dealer price 3200 euro, I got mine for 800 euro.
Multimedia Module(Optional, but i wanted apple carplay, so this was a must have) 200 euro
wiring harnass for multimedia module 90 euro
Wire harnass for LCD.. I think it's called the LVDS cable 80 euro Coding was around 200 euro, but still some things aren't good....
First step is to install the new head unit and wires, it is plug and play. The multimedia module does need a seperate 12V source.
The screen install is peanuts, 3 T20 screws and swap it out.
Coding should be done by someone who knows what they are doing.
It took me several weeks to get it working, but as I said earlier, I have never worked with benz before.
And I dont have C4/Das/Xentry/Vediamo, which I might buy in the near future.
I added a pic of the result.
For now it works, just two minor issues left
First; my backup camera is displayed incorrectly, it has the old resolution, and its super glitchy. parking sensors/parkpilot not working properly anymore
Second; Ambient lighting isnt working yet... But In the light settings menu of the car I cant set brightness level for the cockpit, so my guess is, that is not coded?
I've retrofitted the LCD display too. I had NTG 5.5, so it was pretty easy to do, bough virginized LCD display. Looks like I have the same issue with ParkPilot, it was working perfectly, now it sees parking spots, allows me to select one, but when I click "OK" - nothing happens.
Have you fixed the issue?
Its possible but MAN you need many parts and the more features your car has the less it works 100%... Just as one example of that. If you have rear seat entertainment nothing of that works after facelift is done. You lose 3 buttons on the display if you have them all. And those are not avalible on new and so on..Can rant LONG about probplems of this upgrade. And since yours is a S63 like mine you probebly have many features.

i try this screen in my unit and its not open .
I have a problem. I purchased a used widescreen and I replaced the audio 20 to widescreen with ntg 5.5.
So everything works fine but I have problem with milage. The display show this.: -------- .
I would like to ask how to add to the used display the original milage?
