I always felt people who had neighbors start and run their cars for ten minutes or so was kinda counter productive. The car never really gets up to operating temp fully that way and that builds up more condensation in the oil and engine and it really does not do much to fully charge the battery. After doing that 3 or 4 times over a few months the car might not even start as the battery becomes more and more depleted. In your case standby mode is the best bet. It’s right at the top of vehicle setting. Make sure key is on in second position. Looking at mine right now it’s saying I could leave the car 17 weeks. It just dropped down to that from 18 weeks as I’m sitting here with the radio cranking fan on and engine off slowly depleting the battery. The more of a charge you have on your battery initially the more weeks you will show. Don’t forget to too release the e brake as the brake pads can rust to the rotors over time. Especially if the car was wet when you left it.

I don’t see how people can rent out performance cars. I could see the car coming back needing brakes tires and a slipping trans from 55 runs down the quarter mile strip.
