I finally purchased the Gen 2, despite my old Gen 1 working fine. The Gen 2 widescreen support (Android over CarPlay) works just fine. The only thing I noticed on my 12.3" screen in my S560 is that all of the text is very small due to the new resolution on enlarged screen. I experimented with the DPI setting and found a nice compromise using approx 180 to 200. The screen remains wide but the icons and text are larger and clearer. While I did like the nav in the HUD, so far I am not missing that as much vs. having the widescreen support. It only took 4 years, but I have finally have the solution I wanted. Thx to all.

Could you post a pic of a google maps and waze scaling?
Also, one more Q regarding AAwireless: In original Android auto, I wasnt able to type my waze adress while driving, because android auto limitations. Since it uses carplay protocol now, are you able to type adress manually? Also, does AAwireless also support video in motion, or its just original android/carplay?
I just got my Ottocast U2-X Pro and it does not display full screen Android Auto. I got V-class W447 with MBUX and still 1/3 of the screen is just MBUX background. See picture below.
Can you please confirm AA Wireless works full screen with MBUX system? What is the best solution for MBUX to display AA in fullscreen? Thx.

Ok, I finally got around to taking a couple of full screen shots in my S560 using Android Auto over CarPlay via the AAwireless dongle. I am using a 180DPI instead of the default, which I found to be too small. The only 'not perfect' observations I have is the loss of nav info in the HUD (which I knew going in) and the widescreen implementation no longer centers your vehicle on the map. It offsets your vehicle and routing a bit right of center (see photos), which doesn't really bother me but I would prefer 'center' to see both sides of my position rather than left side only. Overall, I'm happy with the upgrade to AAWireless Gen 2 over Gen 1 and can always change back easily in the app. Hopefully, the support staff are working on getting this to function directly in Android instead of over CarPlay.

I received my wireless AA today. I was very confident.. I updated it and set AA on CARPLAY, but I still see no fullscreen on 2020 GLC coupe with mbux.. I took it badly
Yes, seems like MB restricted fullscreen AndroidAuto / CarPlay on MBUX NTG 5.5 & 6.0. I'm not sure how this can be sorted out, seems like only option is to wait for MB to update their software. And that is not going to happen anytime soon Angry

Just got the 2nd Gen AA Wireless in hopes that I might be able to get fullscreen on my 2019 E450 based on the posts above. Struggled to get the new AA Wireless to work (I recall this being the case for my 1st Gen that I got through the indiegogo, but I cannot remember what I did last time). I did get the 2nd gen to work briefly, and was disappointed to see that it was not using the full screen. Tried to play with the settings but then it stopped working entirely. Needed to do some other stuff, but will go play around some more this weekend.
This is an old photo from my Gen 1, but this morning the Gen 2 looked much the same. Note, I was amused that occasionally the logo on the left would show up as 'Baidu CarLife', which from google I understand is the chinese equivalent of Android Auto. Snapped this photo to document it, but this behavior seems to have ceased and Android Auto was the only one that showed up for the last year or so.
