2020 E 300 DOG, SOP,First Deliveries to US
Hi All,
Does anyone have input as to following model yr 2020 E 300 DOG, SOP, 1'st US deliveries?
1)When DOG w/b open?
2)SOP (start of production)?
3)Possible first delivery to US
I'm told MB holding back due to many 2019s on dealer lots and even new 2018's still not sold; any truth to this and what is possible affect on 1, 2 and 3 above?
THANKS, Steve
PS: Interesting as I ordered my 2017 E300 when DOG opened early April of 2016 and took delivery July 2016 (no delays at all even with full LCD screen dash and HUD ect) so I expected similar for the 2020 (DOG/OK to order April 2019 for delivery around July 2019) but, my Dealer still doesn't have any idea as to when.as to

We're only half way through the 2019 model year. One wouldn't expect the DOG for the 2020's to even start coming to dealers in May/June and then only preliminary. I would expect the 2020's to start rolling out in Late August, early September or later.

My dealer in NH just received the DOG for the 2020 E-Class Wagon. Not sure about the sedan. No prices yet. No inline-six engine and no MBUX in the DOG I saw. Pushed out to 2021?

I am glad I didn't wait for the 2020 thinking it would get MBUX and the inline six engine for the 450, I would've been super disappointed.

Frequent browser first time posting. I just received 2020 ordering guide for coupe. Was told to expect delivery late July. Other than discontinuing a color and adding one not much new.

2020 E wagon DOG
I will be replacing my 2016 E 350 wagon toward the end of the year and am considering a European delivery. Does anyone know if the 2020 E class wagon dealer ordering guide is available online yet?
Thanks

This is from MBUSA: The 2020 E450 Wagon is to come available with the 3.0L V6 BiTurbo engine. However the vehicle will come with the Comand system rather than the MBUX as it as not yet made the transition over.

My dealer said that the facelift will be for next year, which is nice as I got my 2019 recently. I think mercedes is very busy wither their glc and gle which now are their bread and butter.
Something I find weird is that the demand for the e class seems so low in the US, sells quite well in Sweden and they are a common sight when I drive, especially the wagons.

The facelift is due for the 2021 model year, following Mercedes normal 4+3 years schedule. Has nothing to do with the GLC or GLE. E-Class/CLS and the 5-Series are still tops in their class in sales in the U.S. so demand isn't low at all.

Wow! Some big time changes in interior and exterior colors and wood trims. No more Dune Silver, Diamond Silver, Rubelitte Red, or Emerald Green exterior colors. No more Macchiato Beige/Espresso Brown interior, now it's Macchiato Beige/Espresso Black with MB-Tex as standard and not leather; leather to be an extra $1620 and Nappa $2990. Gone is the designo Macchiato Beige/Titian Red interior.
Burl Walnut added as a trim, but Natural Grain Light Brown Elm wood trim and Light Brown Sen wood trim are gone. Packages have changed as well.
Glad I got MY 2019.

MBUX absence is curious. Don't understand the delay. Could it affect sales? It would if I were looking.
But check out P.28. Is that a CD player I see? (repeated on p. 49)

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Really nothing substantially new and very limited color choices - disappointing... My lease is up in December, I love my current vehicle, but not sure I want to sign up for the exact same car for another 3 years... To get MBUX, seems like A Class, new GLE or refreshed GLC.

The only good to come out of this is no touchscreen. Trust me,you guys are going to hate it. If you could get the MBUX without it, it would be so much better.

I wish the new engine was the i4 with the mild hybrid, that thing put out 300hp and good amount of torque. But engine was really noisy, like a turbo diesel probably why they didn't release it yet.
