Hi,

I have 2017 E300 with under 17k miles, my COMAND buttons stopped working, so NAVI/RADIO/MEDIA/TEL buttons don’t respond. Everything except for touch pad and COMAND circle knob on center console stopped working so volume control, screen/COMAND power button, dynamic drive select lever, ECO start/stop button, all of this stopped working.

I can operating everything via steering wheel control. Is there a way to reset anything? I also noticed the lights right above NAVI/RADIO/MEDIA buttons aren’t working so the “passenger air bag”, “seatbelt” indicators stopped lighting up. Any suggestions? I can take to the dealership but curious if anyone experienced this before?

 

Have you tried rebooting the Command?
Press and hold the power button on right side of center console, for 30 to 60 secs (until Command powers down and reboots)

 

Hi my first time in this forum. I just got this problem. Have you gotten it fix? It’s driving me crazy

 

Try pulling the fuse, and putting it back in, happened me once and resolved itself after a fuse pull

 

I went to the car a few minutes ago to pull the fuse but everything was working. Hate weird unsolved stuff that fixes itself. The radio had a bad lag once but fixed itself alil while. Later. Also thanks for the fast reply very much appreciated

Everything stops working and the audio system does not respond, nor the comand buttons, even the camera system, and everything in the audio system and the screen does not respond. Do you have any suggestions to solve the problem?

 

Can you tell me which fuse this was? having a similar problem and hard resets aren't working. There is also a 6 week wait to get into my dealership. Much thanks in advance.

 

you may be better off just doing a simple battery Reset.
Many computers (ECU, TCM, SAMs,...) in these cars really like a monthly reset.

 

Still happening? I just got an E43 AMG.. CPO, everything was fine and then this happened to me after I left the dealer of course.

Any easy fix here? I tried disconnecting the battery for a few but that didn’t help.

Has this been a regular issue for you? Hoping I have the same luck as you guys and it works on its own tomorrow. None of the Navi, Radio, media buttons nor any buttons including the drive mode level work right now. Power button reset didn’t work either :/

I have the same problem on 220d W213 with steering button on passenger side. Which fuse do you pull out ? Noted the fuse reference chart - thank you in advance

 

fixed itself! Next day all set.

Found out that the steering button unit was faulty. Replaced with OEM parts (made in Romania) from MB parts. Back to normal now.
