I ordered a 2020 E450 Sedan about a month ago and was given a start build date of July 3. The best the dealer could give me on delivery was probably late October, perhaps early November, here in the Los Angeles area.

I just got confirmation from the dealer that the July 3 build date is still good.
I also found out that the MSRP base price for the 2020 E450 Sedan is US $61,550. The base price for a 2019 E450 was US $59,950. That would be a 2.7% increase.

Hi Turbocharged,
My E450 was ordered early May and on 5/16 was assigned a PO # and production date of 07/3D/2029.
BTW I am told that MB doesn't give a production day but, uses term "decade" that defines the week of production and I'm told in my case 07/3D/2029 meas the 3'd week of July.
My estimate delivery on the east coast is end of August.
MSRP on my PO is $61,550

None yet, but purchasing one soon
I am getting ready to order a 2020 E450 in probably the next week (working on the exact build right now). Some of the features in the 2019 premium package have been moved to standard items and the 12.3" digital instrument panel has been added into the premium package. Both have increased some in price. The dealer is telling us about 60 days to get the car. Does that sound reasonable?

I'm trying to decide the same thing, probably ordering either a E350 or E450, well-equipped. My current Acura lease runs out mid-December, I don't need 3 cars (and would prefer not having just 1), so would like to take delivery close to that time. Also (obviously) would like a decent discount (the 8% mentioned seems about right to me), but not sure how to approach it with the dealer, especially with regard to timing, etc. I guess I can request his best offer as well as the date by which I have to order to get it then, but seems like I'll be put at a disadvantage, and I doubt there are delivery time guarantees. Whereas, if I walked into the showroom in December, cash in hand, I think I would probably get a better price.

I ordered in the beginning of October 2018. Car was ready for delivery December 10. My lease ran out December 30. Dealer agreed to hold car until December 30. BTW, RBRYLAW could not believe the self control I had to wait 3 weeks to take delivery - until the lease on my 2016 E350 ran out!
