Question LiveTraffic symbol

I have a loaded 2019 E53 Cabriolet: widescreen, Nav, Car-to-X etc. Sometimes when using the navigation, there is a symbol that appears on the upper left of the screen that looks like a car trying to pass another car and it has a time under it (e.g. 5 minutes). I have no idea what this symbol is and I cannot find it in the manual. Anybody know?

That's the expected delay in minutes due to heavy traffic on your route.

.
AFAIK it is indicating en-route congestion delay.

Thank you. I’ve been looking at that box for three months and did not know what it meant until a couple of days ago. How are folks supposed to use the wonderful technology when they can’t figure it out.

They used to have things called "User Manuals" that always came with software. Those days are long gone.

Uh, wait. Does a new W213 NOT come with owner's manual, Comand manual, etc.?

I have several manuals with my W212.

I had a 212. No comparison. The systems were very intuitive and the manuals told you what you couldn’t intuit on your own. With the 213 the manuals are unhelpful and the videos give you the 30,000 ft view. Kinda like there being a spare on the 212 vs the RFTs on the 213.

There is a digital manual that comes with the W213. However there was actually a service bulletin that includes a physical printed manual now if owners would want one. Its free just need to visit the dealer for the service bulletin "work".

Thanks to all for the help.
I was guessing it had something to do with traffic delay, but it does not seem consistent with the color scheme on the NAV. That is, there can be some orange/red on the mapped route and the symbol does not necessarily show up. There must be some other subtleties going on. Maybe its a Car-to-X thing?

FYI, my E53 did come with a printed manual...a big one and several supplements.
I also have a PDF manual and there is the built-in, manual in the COMMAND.
I turned every page looking for that symbol and could not find it.

.
Enroute delays are a bit different than road congestion. Near me US 19 is always congested (red) but traffic flows remain near the speed limit (± 10 mph) so there are no delays.

It is an odd symbol, one that I didn't understand until someone here explained it to me. That said, I've found it to be reasonably accurate even in L.A. traffic.
