button blanks

I have a fairly loaded E450 wagon, so was curious as to which features the button blanks on my dash might typically be used for.....thoughts?

My AMG E53 Cabriolet has a button in one of those spots to raise and lower the car for speed bumps.

Per the U.S. manual, you're missing the Park Assist PARKTRONIC. Others may be for European options, like Levitate?

My Parktronic off button seems to be in the center console. I think others have an ABC button here.

Where are the buttons for convertible tops?

True, but the Parking Assist PARKTRONIC, which turns the beepers on and off when parking, is the 4th button over, according to the manual.

Actually, I see in the manual that the Parking Assist On/Off button "Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the button may also be located in the center console." The manual shows the Set Vehicle Level button where your Parking Assist On/Off button is located, so apparently when you have Air Body Control, the Parking Assist goes on the dash; if not, it goes on the console. So at least there's no blank buttons around the more often seen center console.

LOL - it is a great question, how much do you have to spend to not see those blanks??? I think air body control, HUD and a few other things occupy those slots in US, and perhaps others outside the US.

I have ABC and my Parking assist is next to in in the centre console. I have blanks on dash also but assumed it was for HUD or other features not available on Estate in UK?

I have Steering Assist. Lane Keep, & HUD in mine.

As for the blanks, I see ABC lowering/raising could be one. Still leaves two unknown. I think I see an AMG photo with all of them labeled, but it's just as bit too fuzzy to tell.

I would never buy a car with blank switches.. My E63S has functional switches all the way.

Post pics of your bank of switches. I have HUD and I don't have a switch on the dashboard for it.

Dear 78:

As your car seems to be the only one without blank switches, perhaps you could post a picture?

That way the rest of us can see what we are missing and our questions will be answered.

I have parking assist and that is on the center console.

I also have Premium package and driver assist which are two buttons which leaves 4 bland - six button in total: two are being used.

Thanks in advance for your photos!

Mine is full. From left to right: Steering Assist, Lane Assist, Parking Sensor Off, HUD, Rear Sunscreen, and Ride Height Adjustment.

This is on a CLS 53.

You asked about the switches for the convertible top. They are separate from the normal switches. In this picture they, along with the wind buffer and all windows buttons, are with the rounded silver pieces at the bottom of the center console between the mousepad thingie and the center armrest/storage area.

What buttons are on your console? The only button you show that I don't have is for the air suspension.
I think that certain options dictate button placement between the dash and console.
