Red face Error message after sun-filmed windows!

Me: This is the message on the info page of the car

Me: Here I have the key in my pants pocket!

Message: Put the key in the selected storage box! Me: When I put the key in the storage box in middle of consol where it has its place, it will find the key!
Hey you! got this message in the car after I applied solar film to all windows on the car, including the rear window! Water has been used for this job! may the water have disengaged the sensor here? so it has to be dried up to dry again before the sensor is itself again, what do I have to do with the problem? ask in the wild cloud here now, open to all good answers here now! thanks people! NB: I have changed all battery to my car keys-done!

Do you have full keyless go?

If you do there is an antenna array in the trunk, it could get damaged by water.
The receiver antenna for the start sequence is located in the centre console

Two questions:

1. What do those messages say? (Sorry, I'm language challenged.)

2. What type of film was applied — ceramic or metal or something else?

Why should water being used to apply film affect /anything/ on the car? These things do run in the rain, don't they?

Film is applied to the inside of the glass.

Hi everyone then everything has settled again here on my car! all it took was to put the car in the sun for a whole day, so the windows were properly heated! after that, everything worked as it should again, so the reason here was that there was still some moisture between the film and the window, which caused the sensor in the rear window to be switched off! Case resolved! but thanks for all the input!

its possible that the key fob just needs a new battery. have you tried using your other key, changing the battery, or sticking the key in the "key socket" by the cup holder?

Glad it worked out. There's a sensor in the rear window too? What would that be for?

.
There are sensors in many places so that the fob location can be precisely determined - inside or outside the vehicle.
