2017 E43 New Command system
Just had the New version of Command installed. Im surprised that its essentially completely new "operating system". There are multiple new functionalities, a different favorites menu, new navigation menus and functions and a greatly improved voice recognition. The swap was done primarily because my radio kept forgetting its station memory, which seems to have been resolved. I guess its an adaptation of the new mbux . Very happy with the upgrade. If you have a first year W213 I strongly recommend you ask your dealer to upgrade your system. Be warned, since it is a complete brain transplant it hours.

What year is your car and are you based on the US? I had a couple reboots of my Comand system over the last month and was thinking about asking the dealer for an update. But I am curious to know if there are functionality changes that make a material difference in the overall user experience.

i'm in France, car from july 2017
the original firmware was terrible, very slow system
it's was taken care of with an update.
since then I had 2 more updates ( 2nd one to address internet radio problem & 3rd one for bluetooth problem),
both didn't fix anything & changes were minor from the 1st update
biggest change on the lasted FW is ability to dictate text messages, though it works far from great...

EQE 500 4MATIC replacing EQC 4matic AMG line P
Anyone have an issue with the whole sound system not working after a short stop and restart. If I say go from the supermarket to the on site filling station. Stop fill the car and then start up again sometimes the radio,usb,sd card and internet radio all stop working only bluetooth from the phone may work.
I had this in the c class too but that was audio20 not comand. Was told they had updated the software but it has not cured the problem. I assume it is the computer just not booting well but it will need an extended switch off before it will reboot properly ie 30 mins+
