E43 bigger tires?

Hello Guys

is it possible to use wider tires for E43 4-Matic?

it has 275/30/20 on rear and 245/35/20 on front
and I want to change them to 275/35/20 on rear and keep the 245/35/20 on front

Not really, at least not what you've shown. First, a 275/35-20 tire that you want to change to is no wider than a 275/30-20 currently on the car. It is only a higher profile, therefore a larger diameter, tire, over 1 inch larger in diameter. Which will also cause problems with the 4MATIC. Check https://tiresize.com/calculator/ , but a possible size replacement for the rear would be a 345/25-20, which sounds enormous, and may not fit the wheel well or wheel. But the only way you can go wider, is with a lower profile, and 25 is about the lowest profile made. That size might look great just sitting there, but I don't think I'd actually want to drive it.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
That would require large fender flairs too as it would stick way out plus probably hit the inner fender well.

Best to go to https://tiresize.com/calculator/ to determine what you want. Use the Tire Size Calculator, and enter your current 275/30R20. On the right you will see potential 20" tire sizes. To see the additional ones available with 19", click on the 19" wheel tab. You'll see that 295/30R19 and 305/30R19 are possibilities. But you're getting into a VERY wide tire here (a FOOT wide), so clearance and such may well be an issue, etc. I think if you enter your car information, the site may well give you better alternatives, and you can talk to them about what you want too. Don't let people like me tell you what to do (I say and ask you to do what I say ;-).

Different diameters front and back will upset the 4matic. You cant really change the overall diameter of the wheel, but you can buy new rims with lower profile tyres given that you keep overall diameter roughly the same.

Did alot of research on this myself

Off topic, but has anyone with their e43s tried to get the exhaust system modified? like muffler delete or cat delete? I would love to hear that "sound" when car starts up first thing in the morning, but it only lasts for a minute or two.

I notice when I’m riding along in my convertible with the top down it gets annoying when really loud cars or motorcycles go by. I decided to leave mine stock. So many times in the past when I changed things around and got stuck with a drone I was sorry.

there's a trick to do to get the cracks and burbles, keep speed around 30, shift gear to 3, accelerate, then shift to 4. But it only works for that shift gear.
i keep hearing all these companies doing tunes with OBDII port to enhance the sounds and everything, still hesitant to try tho.

that sounds interesting. stock sounds decent. but Im pretty sure it can sound way better with some little touches. but you know Mercedes...you dont wanna have a check engine light on the dash.
