19” wheels wont fit on the front
Hello guys
today I tried to go for 19 inch wheels on my E43 that currently has 20 inch wheels. but they didn’t nt fit and were rubbing on the metal piece I have marked on the photo below.
sizes are
front wheel 19” 8” wide on 245/40/19
Rear wheel 19” 9” wide on 275/35/19
but no problems with the rear wheels.
the OEM wheels were off an E300 RWD

I assume you reversed the wheel or tire sizes? The front 8" wide wheels should have 245/40R19 tires, while the rear 9" wheels should be 275/35R19 tires. If not, I think you have the wrong tires on the front, and the wrong tires on the wheels.

Because you have gone down a size they will rub, The car comes out with a certain size rim and offset for a reason, you can generally go up a size but going down is a no no in most cases ( on the odd occasion they will fit )
Rear wheels will fit because generally they have a more outward offset, smaller caliper and no upright strut to foul the rim or tyre.
Also you need to remember that these cars steering geometry will be affected if you start playing around with different offsets on the front, so even spacing the front wheel to make it fit will affect the way the car steers and handles.

Going down to 19 should be possible on the e43. It's OEM snow sets are surely 19.
This problem seems to be all about the offset difference. 20mm spacers and much longer bolts could make it fit. But yeah, I'd also worry you're moving the scrub radius too much if the wheel width was similar to the original - so handling might feel different particularly under braking.

Wrong offset on rims. The e43 runs with et20 19 inch rims and your amg line rims are et43. So buy 20-25mm spacers and longer bolts and all should be fine. You bought rims for a non amg e class, I have the exact rims and tyres on my e200.

i have a similar issue. I bought the 5 spoke 19 inch rims that come on the E43. but my car was purchased with the 20 inch double 5 spoke wheels. for some reason there are two different brake packages and if you get the 20 inch wheels you get larger brakes. the dealer actually guided me to buy the 19 inch wheels (which i bought with snow tires for the winter season). even though they told me they would work, they didnt fit on the front. they were 43 offset front and 49 rear i believe. i am now stuck with several thousand dollars of wheels and tires i cant use. i am wondering if i should try spacers or try to sell the wheels and tires?
