2017 E-400 Coupe (W213) Package 02 + Sport Package
What is this for?
Hi,
First time Benz owner here and I just bought a used 2017 E-400. My interior doesn't look like the ones I see on the internet, looks more like a 2016 interior (I think). Anyway, in the center of the console where the mouse would be, I have a door with what appears to be a vent underneath. What is it's purpose? The dealer said it was just a blank cover for where the mouse would go, but I think he just threw that out there. Also, should mine have come with a built-in air freshener? Door Closed Door Open
2017 E-400 Coupe (W213) Package 02 + Sport Package
All of the paperwork says it 2017, even when I looked up the VIN. All of them we looked at had the same interior. None of the 2017 E-400's we saw had the mouse.
The W213 looks like this. The steering wheel is slightly different, It was changed in 2019. The car also may have an analog speedo and tach cluster instead of the leftmost digital panel. IIRC the 207 US version W213 did not offer an E400, only an E300.

Your interior looks more like a c207 (coupe) more than a w212 (sedan)... definitely not a w213.
That compartment is for the control switch if it were a cabriolet.

It doesn't appear to be from south of the border. Manufactured 09.08.2016 in Bremen Germany. 11.09.16 Titled or registered as personal lease vehicle in Plano, Texas and it stayed there its whole life. We picked it up yesterday from Plano.
You have a coupe... you can post your question on reconfiguration options on the c207 (coupe) sub forum.
as I’ve mentioned on my earlier reply, had you had the convertible, that’s where the switches for the roof would be.
