Lost Key Fob

We have lost a key fob for a MY19 E Class. We have turned the place upside down looking for it. I am sure you all know what it takes to replace one. So, here goes, is there any sort of trick way of finding one. Cause it to give off a signal, Use a sensor, Use Mercedes Me Connect. Before I pay a fortune for a new one.

Only real way to find it is to use something like Tile and put it on before you lose the key.
I would suggest that you keep looking, some report that the key is now in the $500-$750 range for a replacement. You might be better of with just the one key with tile and putting it in one spot and also with a bunch of other keys/keychains so that it's harder to lose.

I priced one out about 5 years ago for a 2010 E63 and was quoted $595 if I remember correctly. And yes, these newer keys “go quiet” after a short time.
Good luck.

All suggestions and comments are appreciated.
- Is it in another coat pocket? If the last person to drive the car was, for example, wearing a coat for special occasions or a particular suit jacket, maybe the key could be in there?
- Have a look down the sides and gaps of your sofa/couch... I've lost things down there before, even large items including a whole smartphone for a day!
- Is it under the bottom of a bed? I've lost things before that fell and made their way under a bed.
- Have a look at places where you keep keys for various things... Someone might have accidentally picked up your Mercedes key and put it there
- It could still be in a bag that was used that day?

- put your remaining key in your pocket;
- go to your car
- try to lock the car by sliding your finger along the outside handle
As you drove home, the key is almost 100% in your house somewhere and eventually it will show up.
I remember 30 plus years ago, when my daughter was only 5 and I could not find my keys to the car: she said:
"Daddy your did not lose your keys: You just cannot remember where you put them!"
Same thing here: as you drove home, the keys are in your house somewhere. They will eventually show up!
Hope this helps.

You may be correct.
However, when I travel I keep a spare key in my brief case which I leave in the car. The second key I keep in my pocket.
When I exit the car I have difficulty locking the car either using the key fob in my pocket or touching the handle - because the other key is still inside the car.
Just my experience - of course your experience might be different.

So, if you lose a key fob, you won't be able to steal your own car. (This sounded funny when I thought of it... maybe not so much 2-seconds later)
