E43 new wheel/tire question. How wide?

Good day everyone,

I have just gotten my used 2017 E43 sedan in awesome brown color.

It has standard AMG 20" wheels, and since I live in Lithuania the roads are not so good.

Here is my question:

1. What is the widest wheel/tyre combo that I can run in 19" ?

2. What is the widest wheel/tyre combo for 20" ?

How about the offsets, I looked for a definitive guide but did not find one, since I do not know how big the brakes are on the E43.

I plan on lowering my vehicle so that might come into consideration.

Thank you in advance and I really look forward to buying new summer wheels!

It shows what is standard. I know what the standard amg specs for my car are. It is not the question I have asked.

You didn't look hard enough. Use the tire calculator portion of the site. There you can calculate clearances, etc.

ua549 unfortunatelly I do not know our clearances, but i've used an example of agressive set up's that i've seen on our cars and two websites.

In conclusion here is what I think I will go with:

Front:
From 245/35 sitting on 20x8 ET20 to 255/35 on 20x8.5 ET30 (or 25 maybe?)
Compared to current, the inner rim will we 16.4mm closer to suspension. It will poke out 3.7mm less towards the front.
Tire will be 5mm wider at each side, so it will be about 2 cm closer to inner wheel well which should be fine?
I will turn it lock to lock with current set up to see if it could be a problem.

Rear:
From 275/30 on 20x9 ET49 to 295/35 on 20x10 ET50
Compared to current, the inner rim will we 13.4mm closer to suspension. It will poke out 11.7mm more towards the front ( which is exactly what I want).
Tire will be 10mm wider at each side, so it will be about 2 cm closer to inner wheel well which should be fine since the rear wheels don't turn.
It should sit much more flush with the fender since with the tire it will be 2 cm closer to it.

The circumference of the tires will be even more equal then before, which should be great for our 4matic system.

Have any of you guys had this set up on our w213?
The most agressive I saw on this forum was a wagon on 9x21ET40 255/30R21 and 11x21ET50 295/25R21 that was also lowered.

P.s. the extra tire height should give more comfort and extra width should give much needed grip.

If you have 4matic you need the same size front and back otherwise it will mess with it. Also your speedo will now read way off. I wouldnt personally go with those size, maybe just go up 5 on the aspect ratio front and back to get a small size increase only.

You probably missed the part where I stated that the OEM set up has a 1% difference in front/rear circumference of the tires, and with my set up it would be closer to 0.2% - basically even more even.
Speedo will be different if you increased aspect ratio of 5 or increased with on same aspect ratio, so it doesn't really matter. It will not be way off, just a slight difference.

Just found this picture of supersprint e43 posted in 2018, and I really like the wheel set-up. Does anyone know the specs of wheels/tires and ET's?
