Passenger heated seat

My 2018 has performed all around quite well. I've had three separate USB ports replaced because they broke, came loose, or fell out of their sockets. But other than that I've had no issues at least until May. The heated passenger seat won't stay active for longer than about 30 mins. I don't mean timing out. I mean after 30 mins it will no longer activate. When you attempt to do so, the light indicator blinks once or twice and then it goes off. Has anyone else noticed this? I've searched the forum and no one has mentioned this.

After a period of time (next day) will the seat heat activate? If so, perhaps a breaker is tripping and auto-resetting. Have you checked the power circuit for anomalies?

Have it checked under warranty heating element is incorporated into seat cushion part cost about $4300 plus labor. May be as simple as low voltage condition to main and/or support battery. BTW should be posting here: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w222-178/ if this is the vehicle you are referring to: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post8042045

The problem is only for a period of over 30 mins. Say from the house to the pharmacy. After 30 mins it stops working. Upon getting back in the vehicle on the way home the seats work and then shut off again after 30 mins or so in duration.

I haven't checked the power circuit. I'm not even sure what that would entail. But you think is anomalous behavior?

So this should be brought to the attention of the dealer?

Have dealer take a look.

Presuming the car is still under its original warranty, its the dealer's responsibility to fix it. But to second what was said, I had a heating element go out on a different car and my service advisor of 15 years said forget about it. The parts cost a fortune.

It is still under warranty. Just a bit of a hassle to get to the dealer.

Enduring a bit of a hassle for a $5,000 covered repair is OK.
