I recently bought a 2017 E300 and I’m just wondering if it’s possible to change out the center console with the wood grain to match the dash. I currently have the black plastic (as shown in 1st picture) and would love if it all flowed together with the rest of the wood on dash/doors, do they make that and what am I looking at on cost? Thanks guys!

IIRC if one buys a genuine MB part from a dealer (~$650), the lid comes with the panel with matched grain.

WOW! If this were a proper British car, at least the collars and cuffs would match.

Wow, I’m new here and didn’t really know what to expect as far as feedback or response time but you guys are great. This was a lot of help, thank you! Unfortunately, it seems like they’ve discontinued the brown ash option on the trim panel. I can purchase the lid in brown ash here, but for the trim panel I’m gonna have to keep searching. If anyone has any other ideas or maybe seen one somewhere I’d appreciate it!

Car-part.com is where I look for used parts (North America but you may be able to get some recyclers to ship international). I'll take a bit of searching and you should contact the seller to get good pictures and to be 100% certain they have what you want.

I think people just normally wrap it, supposedly much cheaper. Or buy used parts on eBay.

Search on this forum: Many posts cover this, with detailed explanations on how to remove the trim and reinstall cables etc necessary to remove center console. Its not as simple as just popping up the console because of all the switches, but its a reasonable DIY.

When E300/E400 was 1st released center console was only available in 'piano black' aka black plastic; subsequently it came in wood finishes to match rest of car, but as a special order; I think now it might be standard (as it should have been at the start of production).

Good luck,
