hi I have an 2018 e class w213.
yesterday the window on the driver's side stop working
All other windows plus panoramic roof works just fine both with key end buttons, but not the driver side.
the window is now closed but doesn't open at all when i pull the button upp you can hear a sound but nothing happens..
please somebody have an idea what the hell is wrong.

Push the button down to open. Pull the button up to close.

What i ment was i hear a noise only when I pull the button upp and no sound down..obviously nothing happens when I try to open by pressing down..

 

Why not have dealer check it under warranty, no warranty pull door liner to check assembly.

The thing is I'm from Sweden and here mercedes only have warranty for 2 years and that just past about a month ago..
But I'll have to go to the dealer anyway, I just hoped it was a quick fix, but it seems not to be the case..

 

If vehicle has been maintained by dealer (i.e.: oil changes, warranty repairs, etc.) and warranty expired 30 days ago speak with service manager to request goodwill repair. More times than not dealer will oblige in an attempt to earn future business.

I'll try my best,but here in Sweden the dealers are not so much for goodwill.
I have already booked the car to the dealer for next week.
hope for the best prepare for the worst.

Is it possible the window has lost its sync? To test, press window down til fully open but continue to press for 5-6 seconds. Then pull window up til closed plus another 5-6 secs.

 

thanks for you suggestion, but i can't open the window at all.
all other windows works just fine even panoramic roof opens with no problem, only the driver side window doesn't open at all.
I even tried to disconnect the battery for couple of minutes, still nothing.

I actually even tried that holding down about 10 sec and up for 10 sec yet nothing.

 

This doesn't apply to all dealers.. I know several dealers in Norway that don't do goodwill requests to Mercedes at all, even on repairs I know would be approved.. (And that actually was approved when another dealer applied for it..)

 

Same thing happened to my 2019 E53 Cabriolet 2 weeks ago. All windows but the driver's window worked. I took it into the MB shop and they diagnosed it as a software glitch and did an update. Now it works fine.

I have seen a few others on here with a similar complaint.

Take it in and hopefully they will fix it free. I got the impression a recent automatic software update caused the problem.

hope is just an update.
to be honest if not, I'm switching to something Asian just because of warranty.
I used to drive bmw then I had an engine failure. I mean the whole engine just cracked down, so I switched to merc had an cla, great car besides the seats was horrible, then an face-lifted w212 lots of trouble with that one, even mercedes in Germany couldn't find the cause to the problem ,so I bought the new w213 and now this sh...t
I really appreciate mercedes love the feeling and comfort mercedes bring, but all this problems just got me tired🙄🙄

 

An update.
I had the car in today and it was a glitch on the software just like some of you mentioned..
so they did an update or reinstall I'm not sure, but the window now works again and at my surprise the dealer didn't charge me anything.. wow thats a first😀😃
